Hi, trying to complete my first collection of Kanto pokemons in holos unless they have some more interesting variant. After discovering sheer amount of various holo cards, I wanted to check how many of them are there. So I made my own database of them.
Could you please look at the list and see if I maybe missed something?
I know that there is also for example confetti holo Vuplix - but it has yellow borders on the card. There are also alonian Meowth, Voltorb but they also are not ideal for my collection right now. But - nevertheless, is someone able to list them? How many of them are there? I will consider collecting them as well.
Is the Shiny holo slowbro, really the only card with that holo pattern?
Is Charmeleon (OBF 027) regular holo or does it have some additional variant like cosmos?
Does cosmos holo cards, comes both in pixel and HD format? Because pixel is muuuch more visible to be honest.

There is also a Trick or Trade Pikachu from 2023 with holo border, but those are neither Cosmos nor Confetti holofoil.
Every other English Pikachu with holo borders you’ve got covered.

No, not all. Most cards are either of the two types. There are some cards for which both Cosmos Holofoil variations are available, which have been discussed in these threads:
(The others are Energy cards; and Smoliv, Spidops, Houndstone, and Varoom from gen 9.)
I assume you mean the older McDonald’s Collection cards? All McDonald’s Holofoil cards had a Confetti Holofoil artwork, starting in 2011. It wasn’t until 2023 that they started using holofoil borders. You can find a list of all McDonald’s Collection sets here.
I think that Charmander only comes as regular (Mirage) holo in the Charizard ex Premium Collection box. What made you think it may come in other holo variants?
o wow, wait a minute. So - I can buy let’s say, two diffrent Oddish:
Oddish (MEW 043) (if it has normal holo card not being reverseholo one)
and Oddish PAF 092 holo
and these cards will have diffrent holo patterns like one having diagonal lines and the other being just “normal holo”?

Not really sure how to say which cards have holo variants, I can’t find anything for Magmar, so I assume that’s everything north from the number 92?

So it would look like, mcdonalds sets have Jigglypuff and Eevee in these sets, but neither are silver bordered cards, and charizard is a full art. So that leaves only Pikachu i Dragonite apparently with confetti holo.
Does bulbapedia have any complete list of holo patterns in diffrent cards? They don’t seem to index them by this parameter I think.
What? What mirage holo type? :D:D Another holo type? So how many of them is there? RegHolo, PixelHolo, HDHolo, ShinyHolo and now MirageHolo? Or does it look just like a regular one but have just a diffrent silly naming?
But I meant Charmeleon not Charmander. About Charmander I just found two photos on the net.
MEW 004 / SVP 047 both seems to have cosmos holo or pixel holo it’s confusing.
But - about Charmeleon.. Look I don’t know better, maybe we need some investigation being made on this card, but I found a photo of Charmeleon being the Cosmos Holo and that’s from where my confusion began from.

MEW 005 has a pixel/hd holo version while OBF 027 is this Mirage Holo one?

The 043/165 Oddish from the 151 set is just a Common, so available as non-holo and Reverse Holo.
The 092/091 Oddish from the Paldean Fates set is a shiny Secret Rare card, which is holofoil, and without any other versions available.
No, not that I know of. The Holofoil page itself is also lacking severely in the available holofoil types.
There are dozens of Holofoil types across the entire TCG.
But you’re right, the Mirage Holo is apparently what they call the regular holofoil of the SwSh era. Just like Water Web holo was the standard holofoil type used in the SM era; or Tinsel holo was the standard during the BW era, to give some examples. Basically the holofoil that’s used for regular Holofoil Rare cards in the sets.
Ah, I misread Charmeleon for Charmander. But the same applies to that one tbh. The Obsidian Flames 027/197 Charmeleon came as Mirage Holofoil in the Charizard ex Premium Collection (of October 2023).
They’re two different Charmeleon artworks. Both came as non-holo and RH in the set; and the OBF one apparently has a Mirage Holo and the 151 one a Cosmos Holo, which both came in different Collection boxes.
That’s the shiny one mentioned before, from the Paldean Fates set..
I just sadly discovered, after making and updating the spreadsheet, that there may be not enough holos for me to complete the collection. There’s just not enough cards printed in silverbordered holos.
I even turned my eyes onto malasyian prints. Despite foreign language they have normal pokemon name at least.
venusaur only in legendary collection would be fitting to what I’m trying to do I guess but that’s unobtainable
