Darkrai Kaiyodo Figure (2nd Variant Found?)

Hi! I was aware of the Kaiyodo purchase bonus figure and own one, but recently came across a second variant for it. I was curious if anybody had any information regarding this “Pitch Black” variant. Below are images of eBay listings comparing the two.

The one that is in color has multiple listings online, but the “Pitch Black” variant sold for less than $20 while being something I’ve never seen before and cannot find any other listings for it. If somebody owns this second variant and is looking to sell and/or knows information regarding it, I’d love to talk!

I think prototypes for figures and plushes can be found in the wild sometimes. Maybe this is one of those? Or maybe an unpainted version?

I’m wondering the same thing, but I’m curious why an eBay seller with tons of eBay experience would sell a prototype for $20!

I could have sworn that the Palkia and Dialga Kaiyodo figures had Daisuki Club lottery prize versions where they were pearl or clear? But I can’t find any info of the top of Google on that. I wonder if they might be related to this Darkrai?

I wonder why I cannot find any information on this Darkrai variant, and yet again, why on earth the seller let it go for so cheap.
