Curious if this Evolving skis box looks real or fake

Subject: [Legit Check] Evolving Skies Booster Box & Quick Intro

Hi everyone,

First time posting here. I’ve been following the discussions for a while and really respect the level of expertise and meticulous authentication that goes on in this community.

I am currently evaluating this Evolving Skies booster box for the sealed portion of my vault, but the shrink wrap is giving me some major red flags. Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to get a second set of eyes on it. I know these are notoriously faked, and I have run into 2 fakes already.

My specific concerns:

  1. The Seam: There is a thick, overlapping, melted seam running directly down the side of the box (over the Umbreon/Sylveon artwork). It looks like a heat gun reseal rather than a crisp factory fold.

  2. The Logos: The white Pokeball logos on the wrap look incredibly chalky and faded. They seem to lack the solid, opaque white paint density of standard factory wraps.

  3. The Tension: The plastic is highly loose and baggy around the top, but the cardboard display underneath looks like it has taken some blunt edge wear.

Am I being overly cautious with standard Pokémon Quality Control, or does this look like a textbook aftermarket garage reseal to you as well?

I appreciate your time and expertise, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the community.

Best, Aaron

This guide should give you a good start. Welcome to the forums.

In all seriousness, buying an ES BB from Offer up sounds like a terrible idea in general. Looks like a reseal to me.
