Crossing over from PSA to Beckett

I wouldn’t risk it on a valuable card, but if you want a BGS 10, you have to crack that baby open and cross your fingers.

Trying a crossover is even harder than sending a strong 9 to PSA for review and hoping they give you a 10. It just isn’t happening.

I know I would personally have a hard time giving any card a Pristine grade while it’s encapsulated. You can’t see every little flaw that can drop a subgrade to 9-9.5.

I’m actually quite interested to know if anyone has tried the opposite way, i.e., has anyone taken a non BGS 10 and gotten a higher PSA from it? Say 8/8.5 => 9 or 9/9.5 => 10

It’s probably happened to me but not recently. Recently though I tried crossing over some and only got an equal grade out of 1 (out of 15)

Thanks for everyone’s input and experience sharing! If I do decide to go ahead with cross over ill let people know the results.
