So I’ve had this torchic for awhile now and thought it would be pretty cool if i could get a pop 1 ST grade. But i’m not sure exactly how those type of grades work… So i was wondering if someone could help. There is 2 other copies i know that have the exactly same red marking so I’m pretty certain that it wasn’t tampered with after the factory.
Usually stain refers to a non-ink stain. Gum & adhesive are a couple that come to mind. If this is genuinely ink from the factory it most likely won’t earn a stain qualifier. I’ve submitted multiple wotc cards with the occasional ink blot, and it only effected the overall grade number.
i was just thinking i should get the Torchic I have with this stain graded, as well! However, the stain is a little different. Mines a little more rectangular and centered in the middle. I doubt its tampered with it being so similar and such, but perhaps it isnt just ink?
Dang that blotch is probably only reason it got a 9
