Yeah pretty much what i have been trying to say. THere is another country outside of america.
Well the audience for psa cards and lots of the pokemoon U.S product is within the u.s and many japanese collectors there to.
There Is still alot of serious international collectors who love these cards.
When selling my friends no rarity psa 10 cards, I found that very serious collectors where interested in them and rich ones to. None were interested in resale. Once sold they dissapeared from the market for good.
I find alot of the time with english cards that the same cards are back on the market as soon a price increase takes place which is every 10 seconds this year. Less stabillity in actual collections, but i guess thats also down to the fact that there is much more out there. However Over time it will be extremely difficult to get the wotc english out of collectors hands, and its started big time for now.
Its not that WOTC cards dont have huge history also. But its not as cool and it wasnt kept a mystery for like 21 years lol.
I probably also disagree that the Japanese base set has “low interest”. I know plenty of people willing to shell out good money for good condition Japanese cards.
There’s a few sets on eBay currently too listed from $500-$700
If you can get up to 700.00 for these sets I have many mint or nm/m complete Base sets and will sell them to you for only 300.00 each. How many would you like?
I got them in 1999 along with tons of Jpn product. There was a lot available right a the English release. Over the years I sold most I didn’t want and put the made sets aside to keep. You’re right though. I’m not fond of the hype around the nr’s but I do like the base set and have many. Some just happened to be nr’s.
