I’ve been wanting to get into collecting sealed product and have been considering Elite Trainer Boxes, because they are aesthetically pleasing and have (so far) a very consistent design. It looks like Plasma Blast was the first set to have an ETB, is this correct? Also did they skip Plasma Freeze and jump to Plasma Storm for the next ETB?
ETBs are really nice, I enjoy them a lot!
Plasma Storm was the first ETB. Plasma Freeze was skipped, then Plasma Blast had one, Legendary Treasures was skipped, XY had them, Flashfire was skipped, and I believe every set from FUF-BUS (including Generations but not Double Crisis) has at least one ETB. XY (Xerneas/Yveltal), Primal Clash (Kyogre/Groudon), Breakthrough (Mewtwo X/Mewtwo Y), Evolutions (Mega Zard/Mega Stoise) and SM (Solgaleo/Lunala) have two ETBs.
