That’s right. Thanks noob. Check your inbox

What are you measuring? I have access to stereomicroscopes with cameras and software for measurements.

I’ll pm you in a moment

It’s not hard to do Gary, you can just upload the image to paint, use the marquee selection (select) and cover the yellow area or whatever you wish to count pixels on. In the bottom right corner of the program you’ll see a __x__px box that counts in pixels (first __ left/right, second __ up/down). If you want a more accurate option you’d have to download another software system, like gimp (free) or photoshop that’ll count pixels to the decimal.

There’s more thing you can do to increase accuracy like draw a straight line over the face of the card and selecting above or below the line to ensure you’re on the same plane when counting pixels, rotating the image properly to make sure you’re not adding to your pixel count, etc, but if you just want a simple quick counting the system that I described above works well enough.

Yeah, I use paint to calculate the pixels. The image he had was at quite an angle though, and I can only do 90 degree rotations there so I just took out a ruler and did a rough guesstimate. My numbers were slightly off from hypernova’s, but it gives a good idea anyway. We all know PSA doesn’t slap that metallic ruler on every card they grade.

What did you guys get?

average side centering (46% left : 54% right)

top left: 37 pixels - 46.25%

top right: 43 pixels - 53.75%

bottom left: 37 pixels - 45.67%

bottom right: 44 pixels - 54.32%

average top/bottom centering (49% top : 51% bottom)

top left 44 pixels - 48.35%

bottom left 47 pixels - 51.65%

top right 46 pixels - 50.06%

bottom right 45 pixels - 49.45%

I had top bottom 49/51 left right 46/54. Same as you lol

hypernova:
44/44 (50%/50%) top/bottom
41/43 (48.8%/51.2%) left/right

What’s this measuring used for? Still learning.

Just to check the centering of a card for PSA purposes.
