I mean I see a lot of arguing yet the actual point of disagreement is unclear to me?

No rarity was almost certainly the first print. Historically it’s neat. There’s currently not much demand for it and it’s unclear if there ever will be.

Why does everyone piss their pants when this topic comes up?

Lol belittling. You guys have been belittling me since I joined here.

I got all the messages to show you. Wanna see some?

I’ve never belittled anyone everything I say is messing around. I’m quite sure anyone who knows me would realise that.

This countless threads on here that have belittled me all you have to do is check the history.

But that’s okay because I’m having fun either way.

Dont you think that once the Japanese stop playing and watching Pokemon there would be a drastic affect/decline because there’s such a small collectors base in the east? In the west the collectors base is dominant and could withstand a loss of playing and watching.
Plus, the Japanese by nature aren’t collectors (besides art and stamps). It’s all activity fun then profit. (Except for Glenn of course)

He had me with:

Honestly I don’t own a single no rarity card so I have no skin in the game but since I have heard of their existence and seen some of the documentation surrounding them and knowing a bit of their scarcity and low population I thought they would grow bigger legs than they have. Maybe the day that they do so is still off in the future, but I guess we shall see. It is what it is I guess. Feels a bit akin to the 1999-2000 set that gets no love except for the fact that it is 1,000x better than those being that it is the “true 1st edition” in that it is the earliest TCG printing, that it is Japanese which many go for (myself not included), and that PSA recognizes it as a variant mainly.

Hahahaha it’s pretty dam funny. Didn’t you just say that I was belittling everyone?

What you laughing at?

There we go some.more e4 belittling of no rarities

How much more are you going to make these guys suffer.

See it is not conspiracy you have been court in the act of passive agressive antiseminoraritism.

One thing I wanted to say from what you were saying before… who said this was my only focus?

No rarities are only one focus of synd.

They have been growing you just don’t see it as there’s no copies to sell on the market.

The only gem mint zard that was on market I got :sunglasses: and it stayed like that for an entire year. Pop 2 didn’t even appear.

They have the trophy effect as it is what ever someone’s willing to pay privately and it is most likely going to be a private deal.

But I good sir will make a public sale one day which shall make you all tremble. David Pearson smpratte dj who the hell are you will all receive a massive turkey slap to the face from the deek of the no raritan!

Well remember smpratticoinz.. feelings are all that matters in this market. As Pokemon cards are in fact and I quote!!! " An emotional Purchase!!"

Can someone explain to me what this thread is about?

-no rarity cards are the first release of the Japanese base, nobody is disputing that.

-nobody gets to decide who gets to collect what, designating someone has to collect a specific card is reduculous. Claiming anyone’s collection doesn’t reflect that of a ‘true collector’ is equally asinine.

-no rarity cards are a great piece of history, but any claim that they are equal, inferior, or greater than any other cards is nothing but an option and shouldn’t be taken as an insult. Nobody is a no rarity card and if you get insulted by what anyone says about them, or have personal feeling towards them, it’s in my opinion that you need to take a step back.

Is there anything actually substantial to talk about now?

Yes I have a question… How can you prove to us that the no rarities are not alive?

What your saying is true though… I can’t believe someone actually takes what I say to there heart.

There has never been an actual word or sentenfe I’ve said that is of any sound reality.

But when you hurt my children which are alive. Because there talking to me right now and are angry with dj killer byte. Who said that anyone who doesn’t own trophies isn’t a collector. Then I can’t really not defend the cries of my childZ.

But don’t worry. Dj byte mega
I own pre release Raichu. And some pre 2000 old back trophies but I cannot hear them ATM.

Ohhh wait I know that peasant. I new it rang a bell.

Well his a conspiracy person who smells bad.

You see Mr. Dj byter kill. I am of pure heart unlike Alex jones.

I am no conspiracy theorist. I am what they call a true believerb.

Just like you guys have built an entire nation based on the hobby. I will build my nation also. You may have your fancy words and philosphies you’ve built but it is based on fixed ruling and not passion! It is not real… it’s effective and it works to benefit people but not in the way it could. You will never understand the power of stupidity! The power of sacrifice! And the power of the people! You’ll just get out your judgy book and write some fallacy that cannot be questioned.

The syndi force is strong and amoung many Japanese collectors.

We are an elite force of nature with no limits that will rise up and over throw the american Pokemon empire. We comprise mostly of Americans to begin with. So we’re doing pretty good. I’ve decided.

You will all be defeated.

I will own every trophy 3 times over :sunglasses: and every set card in bgs prsitine 10, psa 10, bgs 9.5 it may take 100 yearnz or more… but the amount of time I put into this will be far greater then any other collector/seller. In the end it’s true passion for this hobby and unpresidenticle unquestionable unbreakable determination that will accomplish greatness
… this is the great distinction between great men and little men.

I will swallow the entire Pokemon economy during a time where nothing is cheap and nothing is easy to get.

You guys won’t even think of bothering now with the current prices you will be lucky to buy anything trophy wise… You think this will stop me!!! Dj petabyte??? You call me nothing as a collector!?! We shall see where we’re at 20 years down the track if I am still beathing that is. When the dust settles. Will see who put in the most into this hobby. Will see who wins!

In all seriousness, Here is an example of NR in a nutshell:

I’ve had a No rarity Poliwrath NM listed for 3 years at $70 with an offer. The English 1st Edition Base NM equivalent would sell for $100 on the low end, in less than 24 hours.

If anything, emphasizing the “immense rarity” of NR only exacerbates the extremely low demand.

@smpratte. That is a low ball. And you know it.

It’s the 8s 9s and 10s that will matter. But really anything graded no rarity wise sells. The 7s and 6s even sell.

Also if you graded it people literally buy psa 2s of no rarity. There not gonna buy that poliwrath when they can get one from Yahoo Japan in psa8 condition for that price.

Poliwrath is poliwrath at the end of the day.

The demand is lower of course, but that is not the strength of the no rarities. There strength does not lie in the played condition cards or excellent ones just yet. They have not had 20 years of continuous marketing yet they still beat and match 1st Ed prices. They have had a great amount of crippling from this antiseminoraritism but the advocatez are rising and we will take over. Cullerbz is a believer in the no raritans and there is plenty of cullerbz out there.

The real strength is in the mint copies at the end of the day.

So I would call that a very small example and side of the overall picture. It only addresses the demand and selling point for the worst case scenario.

This is like even worse then the time you did that bgs video. You refuse to see the beauty jewels. I can sell literally a psa 10 Magnemite for more then psa 9 shadiwless holos and this is just three years in of them really appearing on the market as authentication not 20. Just think of what things will be like when there completely dried up. And when that day comes I shall click buy now on your 2 million dollans listing. And defeat you in one night :sunglasses::syringe:

I already have illistrator so those other trophies will be icing on the cake :new_moon_with_face:

Aside from the pointless arguments this thread has erupted. Who else noticed that chumlee left everything else behind and has fallen deeply in love with Pokémon?
