Crazy I posted just two weeks ago about wanting all my Chanseys to match labels. Now I need to decided asap whether or not to cross my BGS 9 Snap Chansey to get in the window where they’re still using blue label.

I know there’s a lot involved with shipping expensive personal cards like that but I would think it’s worth it. Having one BGS and like 50 CGC would irk me to no end lol

I have some pretty valuable CGC Perfects, a 9.5 1st edition jungle vaporeon, and three 9.5 1st edition neo genesis Lugia. So I am 100% biased. But I also love the clean black labels. And supposedly the gold foil pristine label looks way better in person.
Is there a time limit on when we can reholder blue 9.5s to 10?
The age old question of who grades harder has been answered for those keen viewers. The grading standards are aligned.

No time limit but it’s $5 up to September. Can after that date but not for $5.

Yeah I’m assuming it’s normal reholder fee after that. I legit saw a bunch of people complaining that CGC is charging $5 to do it.
Like they thought it somehow made any sense for a for profit business to just reslab every slab they’ve ever issued for free.

Whoever rationalized calling a 9.5 “gem mint” anyway? That’s so bizarre.
Also I hate this idea that there is a Mint and a Mint+. How can something be Mint+? To me it’s really either Mint or it’s not.
I know the spectrum of Mint is not unique to CGC but I have never understood how something can be more than one kind of Mint. I would have liked to see that addressed.

So, I’m a gem mint BAG HOLDER. I called CGC customer service in hopes of a hand out and a “manager” is due to call me bacK.
I am thinking about emailing matt and seeing if anyone there actually responds. I like the idea of a free upgrade… but, I hate the idea of shipping and insurance and the risk of damage and oh did I mention the 6k to reholder the collection? It’s a faithful tax imo.
but damn do i like gold embossing on those pristines…

Again, I don’t understand the logic behind that scale. These upper tier labels that use powerful vocabulary to describe near mint cards annoy me.
i’d argue anything below a perfect 10 would be near mint.
