I got to respectfully disagree with OP. The Z-dogs are the worst cards in celebrations. I really dislike the black border V era they represent. Just really dull compared to all the other excellent cards. I’m yet to pull a birthday Pikachu and that’s what I want now…

Minty holo rares. I bought around 100 copies of each holo rare and 95% had print lines and/or raised corners that are prone to damage.

the lugia in particular is prone to holo scratching and print lines. I have maybe 2 that will get a gem mint grade from cgc or bgs. Nearly all of them had factory print lines or scratches in the holofoil.

I’d say all cards are sleepeers atm. Main set holos are cheaper than dirt

And they won’t be 50 cents for sure in a couple years. Full art base Pika will be super popular for years to come

Haha, I don’t think anyone in their right mind would draw a direct comparison. Doesn’t take much incremental growth to beat 50 cents, even if you’re never ever coming anywhere close to Jungle Pikachu profits.

Now, is it a still a terribly bad investment? Of course, but the thread is titled Celebration sleepers, anything below a 10 Charizard is a memeslab.

it’s not so bad. TCG player has them for dirt cheap and the majority of them were PSA 9 condition.

I gave all my Celebrations doubles (about 150 cards) to a friend of mine with three kids. His kids loved them and that made me really happy. So I hope these cards never end up particularly valuable because then I will resent those children. How dare they.

One of my favorites is the non full art professor oaks research, with him writing a bit out of the border. Such a unique card
