CD Promo cards - Year of release

I saw that CD Promo cards are labelled 1998 with PSA but 2001 by BGS/.

Anyone knows why the difference? And what is actually the release year for these?

As far as I know, this is accurate bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Song_Best_Collection

@acal2029,The cd promo blastoise charizard and venusaur have a duel release. All 3 were first released in 1998 in the “trade please” campaign and then again with the cd in 1999 from what bulbapedia says. The porygon, hungry snorlax, arcanine and others all had duel releases as well. This is part of the reason why there are so many copies of these promos. This duel release happened with a lot of japanese promos.

gary from pawn stars was part of an investment idea that imported 5000 CD promos back in 1999

they then sold the fully graded sets on HSN for $1000 in psa10 and 500+ in psa9

That is why all the promo cards have 5000 quantity.

the sealed CD’s are now $1000-2000 on eBay.

The cards are finally going up big and the charizard can be ~$700 itself now!

I doubt there are 5000 of these cards actually out there though.

Zard alone currently has 10,965 graded copies of which 5195 are PSA 10.

Just curious, do you mean you doubt that the pop report is correct? Or do you think that a significant part of them has been destroyed/trashed over the years?
