Cards that are unreachable?

A couple years too late to turn your art into high value NFTs.

For me it’s all the main trophy cards I’ve always wanted. That is the parent child kanga, no. Trainers etc. I’ve lived in Japan since 2015 and saw the no.3 trainer (Pikachu) with the case for 300k JPY but that amount of money was impossible to think about as a student. Nearly 10 years later I make significantly better money but with the market increase and JPY weakening significantly each year everything gets further away :joy:. I have stupid money in the game at the moment, but my goal is just to downsize in terms of quantity. Replace 100 cards with 1, equal value, if you know what I mean.

Hi, put mine for sale on the dutch local market. Just send me a message with your budget to see if it’s in the range of current biddings.

I think you’ll be surprised what will happen when you get rid of your 50,000 cards and how much money will open up when you move to quality over quantity. Perhaps a trophy will become reachable again

I’ll never own this for two reasons

  1. I’ll never find it
  2. be worth way more than I can probably afford.

Snap Magikarp, only one known copy and I have a feeling that if it ever trades owners the price doubles.

What are these cards?

NYC2002 e-Cards are a group of 10 Sample e-Cards that were presented in an event in 2002 before the launch of the Occidental Nintendo e-Reader in order to demonstrate the Dot Code technology.

Unlike Expedition Base Set final versions, these cards have some notable differences being the one I’d highlight the most the fact that their e-Viewer data is distorted (and other cards might be referenced if you try to find a sense to the distorted text)

Urban legend says that only 50 sets of these e-Cards were made.

List of NYC2002 e-Cards:

  • 002/093: Hoppip :us:
  • 004/093: Koffing :us:
  • 016/093: Pikachu :us:
  • 019/093: Gastly :us:
  • 021/093: Machop :us:
  • 042/093: Machoke :us:
  • 048/093: Chansey :us:
  • 074/093: Rapidash :us:
  • 083/093: Pichu :us:
  • 088/093: Machamp :us:

I find these e-Cards very interesting … Currently I can’t affort them due to I’m a university student.

Thanks for the detailed response. I’ve only known these as Sample cards so cool to have a full background.
