Very cool video, thanks for sharing!
Especially last year I’ve delved into the history of Pokémon as well, so I was aware of some of the magazines mentioned, but a lot not yet. I might add a few to my wanted lists tbh. ![]()
Although I do have a few already, including the Nov. 17th, 1995 Famitsu magazine. I’ve briefly showed it in this collection update, alongside the New Game Design book:
The 1995 poster and any of the ten Bandai Club Part 1 sticker cards are pretty high on my wanted lists in terms of Pocket Monster history items I’d love to own one day.
Although you’ve added a lot of information I wasn’t aware of, I also think some information is missing. Whether that’s intentional, to not make the video too long, or not, I’m not sure. But in case you’re not aware of it (fully), I feel like the early Capsule Monsters designs of 1989/1990 and the Merry Christmas 1992 / Happy New Year 1993 post card for Game Freak employees in December 1992 are pretty important parts of Pokémon History as well, showing some of the earliest examples of Pokémon.
I briefly mentioned them in these two posts of mine (although a lot of info comes from https://helixchamber.com/):
- What are the true first Pokemon cards? - #65 by Quuador
- The first sketch, who was it? - #11 by Quuador
Either way, cool video. Thanks for both making and sharing! ![]()
