Can we talk about WOTC sets and their particular quality control issues?

I’ve recently gotten back into the hobby after being absent for a few years as I wanna try to complete my rather minimalistic collection. But that’s besides the point.

I went over most of my cards (I’m a binder guy) to check their conditions and noticed that literally all of my german Neo Genesis cards have silvering on both the left and bottom edge on the front in particular. Most of them are otherwise very clean and don’t show any damage what so ever apart from the occasional holo scratch.

Which leads me to believe this is a factory fault. We all know of Base Set & Jungle’s silvering issues but I was under the impression that the Neo sets (up to Destiny) seemed to be freed from this issue. But apparently that only goes for the english sets?

So can anyone chime in and share their experience with these sets (and any particular language)?

Base Set: I feel like this simply doesn’t exist without silvering? No matter the language.
Jungle: Notorious in english. Probably the worst offender? German copies seem to be perfectly fine.
Fossil: Not quite as bad as Jungle but still noticeable? Again, german seems quite flawless in my experience.
Team Rocket: Still some minimal edge wear but definitely getting better? Don’t own any german cards.
Gym: Both of these seem to be flawless finally. All my Gym cards are extremely clean.
Neo Genesis: as mentioned
Neo Discovery: Same as Gym - these appear to be quite flawless in all languages in my experience.
Neo Revelation: See above
Neo Destiny: Back to square one it seems. Probably the 2nd worst offender after Jungle, no matter the language.

And lastly, the e-series also seem perfectly fine to me? But I have barely any experience with those (yet).

What I am about to tell you will change your entire perception of WOTC reality. Blue pill you go back to thinking there was one small factory making each print run in a logical time series. The red pill you realize even WOTC themselves have no idea what they produced to this day. USA, Australia, UK, Belgium. The choice is yours.
