Can I block an ebay buyer from buying my card?

Hello everyone.

I have a card on Ebay at the moment and I’m getting absolutely inundated with questions from a chap who’s obviously keen on the card.

In one breath hes saying hes definitely bidding on the card, the next hes saying I’m being very misleading about the BIN price vs the condition in the title - no it’s not PSA 9 ‘Mint’ its mint compared to most other raw ebay cards, the pictures say more about the condition than anything . . .

We all know the value of cards has shot up massively in the last few weeks aswell so previous sold prices are not the most reliable indicator of what something is now worth.

The whole things incredibly stressful and I just feel like pulling the auction completely for the time being.
I’m just concerned that on the off chance if he does win the auction he’s going to mess me about with the card.

Does anybody have any advice on how to dealer with these crazy buyers? I’m still pretty inexperienced with selling cards on there.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you

Jimmy

eBay do an outstanding job of burying it, but the option is there

Lovely thanks everybody!
I think the fella is now blocked.

How does that look his end when he clicks on my listing?
Does it block the option of him making any further bids or BIN? He made a bid early on but has since been outbid.

Would he still be able to contact me?

So everyone here can block collectiblesguru? lol

So he’s definitely blocked and has even sent me screenshots of what’s coming up his end when he tries to bid, this was at 1am :no_mouth:

Might need to block his messages if he continues to harass me.

Its scary selling stuff on ebay, never realised before how obsessive some people are.

Please tell us his name so we can block him as well.

Up the price.
Ignore his messages.
If he wins, send an empty box.

I think it’s possible for him to still message you even when blocked, just report him to eBay for harassment.
If he’s a wee bit psycho I would also be mindful of the possibility of him using an alt account to try to buy the card, so another thing you could do is make it very clear in your listing that you will only sell to buyers who have, for example, 50+ feedback. Then you’d have solid justification for cancelling his order if he did go that route. If his IRL name is in his eBay username, be mindful of that showing up on another account’s paypal address.

It’s a fun life being an eBay seller!! >.>

Yeah, make sure you have your buyer settings adjusted so that you need at least two positive feedback to bid on your items in order to prevent this guy making a quick alt and bidding with it.

This is Fraud
