That’s a shame actually … I’m not the admin of any Facebook TCG group, that’s something out of my control …
Possible reasons:
- Personally I believe that local people are not accustomed to make international shippings. They just meet in a certain point and make a sale in-person.
- Most people don’t work with PayPal. We have local digital wallets such as Yape or Plin from local banks and that’s what all the country uses …
- Probably people don’t have experience with shipping packages (or just that they don’t want to go to Serpost)
I have PayPal account, I’m currently searching the way to activate the “Friends & Family” option for my account. Also, after receiving the money I have to transfer to bank account (where there’ll be a fee depending of the amount to transfer) …
I’d have tried Wise, but Wise only allows Peru to send money (not receive it)
(Yes, Latin America lives in prehistory lmao)
But don’t worry … we can find a solution …
I’m in several local TCG groups … I can ask for the card you want and if someone has, I send details privately …

Update: Just contacted PayPal and they told me that in Latin America, PayPal is only used for sales and because I’m from Peru, they recognize me as a seller.
Translation: I indicate that your contry of origin is Peru. This country can only receive and send money under the concept of payment for goods & services. So, because you receive transactions under this criterion, the system takes you as a seller and because is like that, PayPal decided to know your business model, but the platform in Latin America is used only for buy & sell of products and services.
Basically all countries of Latin America have the same situation.
Why I’m putting this??? … because this means that there’ll be a fee to transfer money to my PayPal account if you ever decide to do business with me.
I think the biggest difference will be for expensive cards … For bulk cards I think there’ll not be much difference …
If you know an alternative to PayPal, let me know … might help to make prices cheaper …

I’m perfectly fine taking the G&S fee. Only alternative I can think of is crypto of some form but that’s probably more trouble than it’s worth. Thank you so much for your help

Actually, I have to highlight that there’ll be 2 fees if someone decides to send me to buy cards from a local seller:
- PayPal Good & Services: “Friends & Family” option is not available for Peru or any other Latin America country
- Transfer money from PayPal to Bank Account: $1.5 USD + Exchange Rate (This is because local sellers and local shops don’t use PayPal)
Have to highlight this because prices might be a bit higher than expected (especially for expensive cards).
I don’t want to get involved in any way in cryptos … I don’t know anything about cryptos …
Also, cryptos are bad seen in this area … they’re considered as a scam … To sum up, it’ll be more problematic imo …
However, I appreciate that you tried to suggest an alternative to make prices cheaper.

That one will be more difficult to find …
Up to now I haven’t found evidence that it was released in Latin American Spanish

Fun Fact: I wrote that article by early 2025. I wrote one version and presented it to Nick15 (the webmaster of “Pokémon Aaah!”) … It was accepted … He added phrases from USA and local jokes. The result was that article … Was something extremely fun to write … I should write more articles like that one …

Edit: I should write about the products that are appearing in this area …
I can confirm that Scrafty 188 and Yanmega 187 exists in Latin American Spanish. Both are distributed via 3-Pack Blisters from Journey Together.

Sealed 3-Pack Blister is 65 PEN (which might be around $25 USD after applying all fees)

Is that $65 Peru soles if so that $27.68 aud as I’m based in Australia
Technically yes, but price will be higher after applying both fees (fees are put by PayPal, not by me) … Price might be around $40 AUD (after applying fees)
Try wise for an alternative. Ive had a few different people from different countries tell me they prefer it over paypal. I think its little to no fees, may be worth a shot

I wish, but I can’t receive money using Wise (I can only send money to other accounts)
I suppose they’ll add the option to receive money in the future, but I don’t know when exactly … by now it’s not available for my country …
I’ve also tried creating an account in Revolut, but it’s not available for Peru … here’s why
It’s not because I don’t want … it’s because most of these applications are available only for First-World. Third-World is almost never taken in consideration and PayPal is the only alternative I have knowledge about (if you know about other alternative, let me know) …
Being in Latin America and having to deal with PayPal’s fees … I suppose God does punish twice …

Update: I found something called “WorldRemit” … It says that is available for Peru as well, but I’ll research about that application in the following days.
(If someone has experience using it, let me know)

Have you by chance seen any build and battle boxes in stores
Unfortunately no … I haven’t seen them … But what I’ve seen is “ex Battle box” (but that’s not related to Journey Together)
Sorry for the blurry photo …

Maybe if you ask Alifieri they still have some left over, as they did get LA-Spanish ones.

Same seller as the ETB has a booster box up on eBay. Overpriced still.
