What would y’all say is the best method of buying an entire collection? I have the money to buy a decent collection i just don’t really know how to. lol
I think this is one of those questions that has no “one way answer”. There are several factors to take into account on which “entire collection” you want, such as which set? In which condition? Do you want all the cards PSA 10? Do you just want to have the cards no matter the condition? Is it a good price or you are paying a premium for having the whole collection?
Pulling entire collections of older sets is a daunting task and for some sets even near impossible, so it’s a good idea to first have which goals you have in mind then start analyzing all the different paths you have.
Find someone who’s selling a collection you want & try to negotiate a price you both can agree on. This is the most reliable method thus far.
What is the objective of buying the collection & price point? @sparky55603,
There’s always a reason to spend money. No one just gives it away intentionally for no reason, so, what would be the reason to spend the money on a lot?
Go to Virbank, tell them you have $10k to spend. Rack up the comments.
One of your best bets is to buy locally. So you’ll probably need to post on some local pages like craigslist or facebook to get out to people around you youre looking to buy a collection. Then check out and negotiate any offers you get. Im pretty sure a lot of people try this to flip cards, or keep the ones they went and sell extras or grade and sell; whatever makes money in the end so you might have some competition.
No easy answer to this - have to hunt for it - scour multiple websites.
