Black spots on the reverse of a card?

Hey

I’m just curious whether these would influence the final grade of a card sent to, let’s say, PSA, for example?

Why wouldn´t they? It´s basically an altered/non original/damaged surface. You can try wiping them off with a slightly wet tissue/cloth, I have successfully removed a lot of those with that method.

I also agree they’re fairly easy to clean up and would recommend doing so before trying to grade it as I’m sure it can only be held against you

Thanks :3 I just thought the slightly damp cloth/tissue method may damage the actual card ~

As long as you are careful and it´s not too wet, it should be fine. Just make sure to not wipe it too hard/often as that might really damage the card.

Thanks a lot

Use a microfiber cloth, the kind used to clean eyeglass lenses. Works like a charm. Don’t rub too hard

Thanks SOO much :3

I too can testify I’ve done this many times and have always been able to get out those spots.
