Big Collector Goal Finished! Complete English Ex’s

Hi all! Just wanted to share a goal I’ve been working on for nearly 3 years now. I now have every English old school Ex set card. Not the best images but here is how I display them.

My favorite part about these cards are the color schemes. Just really pretty to look at. Also Ruby was my first game so definitely biased here haha. Here are my favorite from each set:

• Lapras I love the almost bubble looking holo
• This is one tough with Gardevoir, Raichu, Wailord, Kabutops and Ampharos all being stunning. I’m gonna with Ampharos () but this one was really close. The holo just works so well and tail and the color.
• I like my boi latios on this one.
• Entei and Suicuine are my two favorite, gonna give Suicune this one but it is close. Entei is such a bargain right now IMO.
• Cracked Ice is cool but I like the Ninetales unique art.
• Another tough one. Charizard, Gengar and Venusaur look beautiful but the cracked ice birds do as well. Gonna give Articuno the win but again tough.
• Snorlax and Mewtwo and great, Hitmonchan is the most underrated one. One of my favorites. Gonna go with Snorlax just cause I love the Pokémon but artwork wise Hitmonchan.
• Attack form Deoxys one of my favs
• Deoxys and Milotic are close but I’ll go with Milotic
• Unseen forces is just busted in general. I love Politoed, Blissey and Steelix, but Celebi, Umbreon, Espeon and Tyranitar are just next level. Celebi is my favorite ex and possible favorite card of all time? Really just majestic.
  Prob the weakest set for ex’s. I’ll go with Flareon
• Arcanine, Mew, flygon are beautiful. I love Armando as a a Pokémon and has nice colors. Walrein takes the cake for me though. The colors just pop. Might actually be my second favorite ex. Helps that was one of my favorite Pokémon growing up.
• Mew
• Jirachi and Groudon are awesome. Going with Jirachi here since he’s so happy
• Really not sure on this one, every cards colors pop. Didn’t think the non cosmo ex’s would grow on me but the colors changed my mind on them.
• Salamence

Thanks for listening! Onto prob cheaper cards to finish up these sets while keeping an eye on the Japanese Mew, Lugia and ho-oh ex’s as they come up.

I added set logos to your breakdown (because we have them as emojis and it was a perfect use case). But wanted to point out that Ampharos ex is from EX Dragon, not Sandstorm

Do you plan on grading them all or cracking out the graded ones?

Honestly not sure. I don’t plan on grading any non graded ones since I plan to keep them for my own collection. I hesitate to crack the graded ones just in case something does come up like a giant depression and it would be easier to sell. For now I’m gonna leave them how they are.

It’s funny you say that since I actually do have OCD haha. Just not in the “mainstream OCD” type where everything needs to be organized in a certain way
