So, I managed to piss off the person selling the BGS Golem because they bid on an auction, won, and immediately asked to cancel. (Basically a waste of time, low quality ebayer)
This BGS 10 Golem sold at auction last year for $480 or $580 (I can’t recall which).
Turns out this seller remembers my ebay user ID and is holding a grudge.
I’ll pay $700 shipped in the US via PP Goods & Services for it if someone manages to get it from them and wants to flip it to me.
Is this $700 total for the card? Just asking because the seller is asking for $1500 already, so i cannot see anyone being able to flip that card to you.
I ended up being the purchaser of that golem, and $700 is what I paid for it (“non-paying auction” or so the person said so I bought it via best offer) but that was last year and I think the seller is probably going to expect more $$$.
Edit: Going back through my purchase history I bought the card for $685, which is basically $700, if an exact number helps.
Good luck tnols, but I don’t think it will be possible for us to “flip” the card for you, unless the seller decides to sell the card pretty much at the price they bought it from, or do Paypal G&S twice.
Assuming the card was sold at 580$:
Maximum cost of the card (to be sold to you): 700$
Assuming I got the card from them for literally break even price (minus ebay fees): ~645$
Assumption of cost for a U.S. efour member to pack and ship the card to you, at the least: 10$
Margin to play around with: $45
That means, based on your price ceiling, there’s only a $45 margin between the seller’s break even and your maximum paying price. Of course if the price purchased was $480, the margin would increase by $100. I just personally do not think the seller is willing to let it go for $45 or even $145 of profit, especially since they are someone who would hold a grudge from a prior transaction.
I’m sure most efour members would gladly help you out for a pretty small fee, but just that it’s unlikely for any of us to budge the seller at $700, even by making 0 profit from “flipping” the card to you.
If I made $10 off doing this I would be happy because realistically he’s just asking for a favor which really would take 15 minutes out of your day to go ship the card again once you’ve received it. I would do this for you but unfortunately, I’m in Canada and his shipping + possible custom fees are not worth it, sorry.
Yeah, by no means I’m talking about us on Efour making a huge profit, I meant more as in it is very unlikely for the seller to sell the card to us even if we ourselves do tnols a favour and don’t make any money ourselves. I mean the seller bought the card a year ago, listed it for x3 to x4 the price they got the card for…I don’t think the seller will be happy selling it for 7%-25% profit after holding the card for so long.
Just to clarify, this is not the same BGS 10 Golem as last year. I own that one (refer to my link to my collection for proof in my post above) and do not plan on selling it. This is a different BGS 10 Golem.
I would also help, but being in Canada I’d have to pass for the same reasons as pokematt. I’m surprised you don’t have a separate ebay for your buying like a lot of the dealers here do.
I’m not sure how low that seller is willing to go, but I don’t think they would accept $600-700 tbh. It would probably help if someone here has some contact info so they can save the fees. Good luck tnols.
