I read that Beckett once lost their database of authenticated cards. Is this Charizard one of them?
In a side note, how is this a 8.5?

That’s weird. The case looks legit. I also ran across a PSA card which the number lead nowhere for some reason. I don’t remember what it was.
As for the actual grade, BGS is a mess for anything under 9.5 really… In this case, it looks like a pretty fair grade if the surface is indeed near flawless. I’ve seen BGS 9s in worse condition tbh. This would most likely get at a 8 at PSA so 8.5 isn’t too far off.
