I am looking to start a discussion about how much a beckett 9.5 shadowless 1st edition charizard will be valued at as i am doing a trade with someone and thats possibly up for grabs.

P.S seems hard to pin down i have seen them from 10 000 dollars to 30 000 dollars on ebay but nto sure on the price point that they sold.
What are the subgrades of the copy that might be traded to you?

Well, the total of the scores for a BGS 9.5 can be any of the following:
37.0, 37.5, 38.0, 38.5
The card you’re looking to acquire adds up to a 37.5. So better than a 37.0 but not as good as a 38.0 or 38.5.
I would try to see what sales for other BGS “37.5s” have gone for.
Also, you may value a specific subgrade more than another. But I’m not sure how the market, in general, cares more about one type of subgrade than the others. Maybe someone else knows more about that.
What are the exact sub grades?
Not so long ago I was in talks with a person who were selling his 10. 9.5 9.5 9.0 (9 was on corners) Zard. His original price was 15k but we negotiated to 12k, however after seeing the close-up pics, I realized it is just as good as PSA 9 (which you can get for around 6-7k) as I dropped the deal. So I would say it’s all about the sub-grades and card condition in general. I would say price could be anywhere from 10 to 20k, maybe more maybe less.

The only time I would pay a premium for a BGS 9.5 over PSA 9, is if it was a quad 9.5 And had a good chance to cross over to a 10.
