Thought I’d post this since SowSow is doing more and more art… she doesnt have too many cards so a spreadsheet may not be needed BUT I did add a column for “in possession” that changes colour when there is text and auto updates the % completed.
Mitsuhiuro Arita complete list update
I haven’t been sleeping well, so I went ahead and included all of the reprints I could think of and find into the Arita collection list as unique entries - Base Set 2, Legendary, even duplicate arts within the same set. The list should now include all individual printings of cards, with unique card numbers, and not simply unique artwork. SO, it is much closer to completion, if not complete, even including notes of several mis-print variations into the list.
There are now 736 unique cards listed (not accounting for localization), while the unique artwork count is presently 622… I’m gonna need another binder soon.
Just for tracking’s sake, I referenced Serebii, bulbapedia, and pkmncards(.)com.
The link to the spreadsheet has not changed, but just in case:
@corncob2001 looks like I missed your post, sorry for that! There are already lists for sowsow and Komiya in the OP, but as I’m typing this I’m not 100% positive if they’re still up to date. Thanks for your work nonetheless, I might include alternative spreadsheets in the OP so people can choose which layout they prefer. I’ll get to it later today
@xileets, thanks for coming back to this thread and the even greater work you’ve put into this now! These lists certainly are a great way to put a LOT of time into when you want to do it right. I hope it helped you achievibg a peaceful good night sleep
It is Hehe. Used the posted komiya list in this thread and tweaked mine a bit… If you go to the tabs at the bottom is should let you bring up the sowsow one…
I’m really bad with reading all of the thread before posting … I see now that there’s a sowsow list… Fml
Was fun to make regardless though! I hope the minor tweaks can benefit someone here
Great collection and pretty interesting choice! I have all of her artworks of the Shiny collection and Pokekyun. Her cute style fits perfectly in there
Her shiny Eevee is also one of the very few shiny cards from Ultra Shiny GX that I actually like (most others just seem ultra bland to me, don’t @ me).
Has anyone done a collection of Naoyo Kimura? I typically use the serebii cardex to fill out my artist spreadsheets, but I’ve noticed there are a few cards missing like the eevee from the neo file and a few from the vending series. I’m curious if there are any other cards that are missing from this list that I may not even know of.
If nobody else has made a spreadsheet yet, be the change you want to see in the world
Kimura is high in my top favorites as well. Very detailed naturalistic style that shows the Pokemon in their environment beautifully.
If I ever finish my current collection goals, doing a Kimura binder would surely be a worthwhile occupation for me, too
He’s definitely on my list of artists to collect as well. However, once I’m done Masakazu, I’m considering doing Kouki Saitou. As I’ve been poking through cards for Masakazu I always stop on Saitou’s cards and stare. If anyone beats me to the punch of making the sheet(s), I’d be grateful, but if not, I’ll eventually make one. Maybe for Naoki as well, but don’t wait for me. Fukuda is only half way done currently😑
Oh god, what have a chosen to try to accomplish at some point in the future hahaha! Looking through a longer list of his cards that aren’t commons…. Crystal zard, Mario and luigi pika big and small… oof didn’t realize that
That’s excellent, @pigeonsyndicate! Saitou is incredible. So many cards, too. Any so many expensive ones
But I wanted to say I just love how this thread is coming together–I have been working on a list in my spare time as well for it, and one day, it will become one of the most important resources on E4. We’ll eventually get all the great artists on here!
Okay I finished a Naoyo Kimura Spreadsheet. All you have to do the check them off is click the dropdown and then click yes. If anyone wants to join me on the huge (and expensive) journey, feel free to use this spreadsheet: Web VersionI may have missed a few obscure promos, and I will try and update the spreadsheet if and when I find them, as well as when more cards are released.
Also while I was making this list I was in awe at some of these artworks, for some reason these two wurmple cards roaming around Fortree City really stood out to me so I figured I’d share them.
Edit: This version requires you to make a copy on your google drive but it will allow you to edit the spreadsheet if you want to make any changes or fill it out as you go: Editable Link
So you really are a man (or woman) of action, I appreciate that! Thanks a lot for your contribution!
Two tiny remarks:
Maybe it’s only on my end, but before I could see your spreadsheet, I had to log in to Google and make a copy of it. I think there should be an option “publish to the web” (or something like that) under the “File” tab. If you could share that link it’d be a bit more convenient to use
It looks like you put them in chronological order of release date for the most part. Only the Vending block is a bit off, as they should be the first ones, even before Southern Islands.
(-> Which btw brings my count of legendary artists who started in the Vending era up to three - Komiya, Kusube, Kimura.)
Thanks again for the work you’ve put into this, 243 cards isn’t a small list by any means!
@seelovittt awesome! Now the Neo sets seem to have gotten kinda mixed up with VS and Southern Islands, but whatever haha. That’s really just cosmetics and anyone who’s interested in starting a Kimura collection should be more than fine with your spreadsheet and able to figure it out themselves.
I’ve included your beautiful list to the OP, thank you!
When I removed the /copy from the url I could view the list online without downloading/copying. But I see the link has been fixed.
There are actually less cards than I was expecting tbh. I also don’t see any crazy expensive card among them, although ~250 cards do add up quickly unfortunately.
But if I’m ever in need of a new collection goal, I’ll most likely be going for a Naoyo Kimura collection, and perhaps a Mizue collection as well. They’re my two favorite Pokémon TCG illustrators (and they’re also responsible for my two favorite artworks in the TCG ).
@quuador, I thought the same thing, Fukuda has 400+ and he’s been here since 2003. Kimura has been here longer but has half the arts, wasn’t expecting that at all.
