I’m currently 723 ELO (Yes I suck) , and I was wondering if any of you Pokemon lovers also enjoyed playing chess? Idk if this should be put in another thread, but oh well.

I play a little but I can guarantee that I’m worse than most people in this forum, I just play what I see fit, but I always get destroyed anytime someone is using a playbook

An E4 chess tournament would be fun. I wouldnt know how to stop people from using an engine if they made that decision, but it would be fun.

Yes! I started playing about a year or two ago. Username is the same as here. My current highest rating is 1923 in bullet. Chess is extremely difficult and addicting!

I made an account a week or so ago to learn but only did the quick little tutorial. After I saw this I logged back in to find my username and somehow ended up in a 10 min death match with a random person. Kicking myself for missing that ‘fork’

chess.com will ban pretty quick if they catch it (its actually pretty obvious most of the time, the only way to really hide it is if you’re already pretty good at chess)

We could probably do 2l1 bullet increment, but that would shorten the range of people as bullet is super fast and not many people can keep up.
I’d like to think common decency would prevent that. A lot of good people on these forums!

Yes, but I am also not really good. My highest ELO was a little bit under 1,100, but since then I never focused that much and my ELO went down to around 850.

I kinda wish I stuck to Chess, but I switched to YGO. I was like around 1200 rating level and played in a few chess tournaments in elementary school and in chess club when I was 7 years old, but my cousin was around 1600 and 1 year older than me and always destroyed me. I became a sore loser and played competitive YGO instead xD. I think my cousin is around 2200 right now, but he stopped playing competitive chess for med school. Yep I get cooked by family asian comparison every meet up
