Advice please on grade

I’ll help you with that. There are no pros at all.

Potential Cons:

  • Accidentally damaging your card
  • Spending money/time unnecessarily
  • Risking your card getting lost in the mail to PSA
  • Risking your card getting lost in the mail back to you
  • Getting a grade lower than a PSA 9
  • Getting your card accidentally damaged by PSA

I would advise not to do that. If the holo is clean, this is a deserved 9 and you’d be hoping the grader didn’t assign the correct grade if you were hoping for a 10. Unless you genuinely want a newer cert because you just want to have one, then go for it. But when it comes to upper echelon set cards like this and just in general, the cert # doesn’t increase the $$$ value.

The back isnt too bad, alot of people tend to be a bit too harsh on whitening when it comes to a 9 grade IMO. It’s almost like they are expecting a PSA 9 to have a PSA 10 back. PSA 9s should and will have a tiny bit of whitening on the back.

Thank you and the holo is all clean with one light line on the left but super faint and after looking at the psa 9 they allow one or two of those

I understand people are super harsh with the back too lol I took this card knowing the cert was a lower number because too me it was clean and looked like a 9 and in person even more so

yeah no pros at all … and PSA when they reslabbed my card into a newer case did a fantastic job ( hence the new pics I showed when they reslabbed it ) and didn’t do any damage to the card but I guess there’s always a chance and I got lucky ?

Cert number literally does not matter lmao

Wait a minute. You’re going to risk cracking and regrading it because you don’t like the cert number??

Someone actually found out that newer vs older certs does matter, but by like a 1-2% difference lol. I wonder if he included the R value for the data. If someone can link that post, that’d be great.

In the long run it will not matter

Yeh my point was basically it does not matter at all

I thought the cert would matter if I choose too let go of this later in my life but everything adds up that I shouldn’t crack and regrade

It’s a solid 9 imo and others it seems so I will leave it as is and keep looking at it lol

For sure, it’s a great looking card. Congrats!

If I had a 9 I’d be cracking over and over and over but that’s me.

Buddy later In your life there will be another digit added to the cert actually probably within next 3 years there will be one

Bruh that’s insane … there going too run out room by the time I’m 80 lmao

Do you like Charizard?

nah once the digit is in the hundred million, there is no shot another digit gets added

I’d like to see this become a psa 10 story.

Cope cope cope, I can see CGC 10 though xD
