Low V-shirt, custom intro by the hippest dj on IG, disco LEDS, pinky ring, video guests chosen based on the number of social media followers, long diatribes about reaching your goals and even longer diatribes about how much you’re doing FOR the hobby by hoarding the shit out of everything for your own personal gratification. Spend half of your videos talking about how much you love all the jealous sycophants hyping your comment section (i.e your subscribers) and how “you guys are family”. Box breaks, mystery boxes, raffles, hit refresh on Pokebeach every 5th second and make hype videos when a new article is posted (regardless of what the article is about).
Every time you feel like making genuine quality content, ask yourself: “is this going to make me MORE money?”
Some interesting ideas mentioned so far. I would like to avoid the drama.
Lol @c0ll3ct0r, has some* good ideas for marketing.
Talk and do things 1.5x to 2x as slow as normal. It pads out the runtime, and people will watch at 1.5x or 2x for the normal speed.
Do videos at least 2 times a day, even if you don’t have anything to talk about. Try to utilize those youtube 30 second clips they are doing now. Also do the YT text posts with real clickbaity questions and announce that you are about to upload.
Lastly, don’t forget to tell the dblast-squad to smash the like button and ring the bell to get notifications, at least 3 times per video, or else they might not.
Depends on what your content is gonna be.
PKM is saturated on YT imo.
What i was planning in the future ,but ill pitch u the idea is, tiktok openings.
Just short 30 sec vid opening a pack a day.
This way u can divide a bossterbox over a month for example.
The tiktoks u can then put on YT shorts and IG for example…
Wenn the views pick up u can do a longer vid or sorts. but keep them under ten min bc most viewers have a short attention span (research…)
As long as we´re getting a PSA 7 base unl market analysis success will follow, I´ll be your first subscriber.
I love the sarcastic suggestions that seem helpful to get short term views, but destroys a chance for long term followers. Feedback from community is don’t waste your time unless you have something unique that none of the other 100 poketubers are doing
Crazy but it might work. People love limited time things.
Dress up as Jesse @rattle
I think this is one of the better comments here. That’s pretty tough, though. Everyone in the hobby is trying to do the same thing at the level they’re on (collect more/know more/do better), so the differentiation doesn’t come easily, and being different for a good reason is even harder.
YouTubers who are genuine and relatable and who have thought out/have experience with things that I am interested in. Someone who has something to say rather than someone who wants others to hear them.
ez collab
I need context!
Charizards. Lots of charizards.
- Be prepared to either meticulously plan or meticulously edit your videos.
- Talk about things you genuinely enjoy
- Find a niche, or in the case of a busy market like Pokemon… find a niche within the niche
- Reply to comments and be active on social media (though not to exhaustion)
- Go into it with the mindset of making friends, not followers
Good luck, I wish you all the best!
Do you think Scott meticulously plans out his videos? His “oh I did it in one shot, no editing” while having the best cameras money can buy
dblast that like button!
THERE’S the dblast I’ve been waiting for! 2020eFourTrollHypeMonsterBayBEE!!
