A dictionary of phrases used in Pokemon cards hobby

Does anyone have or know of a list of Pokemon card related phrases and words? Along with their explanations.

For example:

Grading
Scalpers
Weighted pack
Whitening
etc.

Really good list right there…some listed in the comments on the thread would be good as well:

Inked: Someone using marker or a 3rd party substance to hide damage. Typically around the cards edges

PWCC (Now Fanatics Collect): Popular auction house that runs weekly auctions ending Sundays

OC: Off centered

MSRP: Manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Another way of saying what price that a manufacturer recommends that a retailer sell a product.

Stonks: Speculation on what investment will preform well quickly.

OBO: Or best offer. Typically when negotiating this term is used alerting buyers that the price is negotiable.

Grail: Greatly desired and sought-after piece. Typically centerpieces of someone collection that are expensive.

Ripping/Cracking: Opening packs/sealed product

Pack fresh: Typically used to describe condition of vintage cards. The condition you’d expect cards to be in if you opened a pack from a current set.

Heavy/Light: Heavy packs are used to describe the actual weight of the pack of cards. Used a lot for Wizard of the Coast era packs. Generally the heavier the pack, the better your chance at a holo graphic. Light packs are used to describe the actual weight of the pack of cards. The lighter in weight the pack is, the less of a chance of a holographic.

WOTC: Wizards of the Coast. Printed English Pokemon cards from base set through Skyridge.

Bulk: Cards that generally dont have much value.

TPC: The Pokemon Company

TPCI: The Pokemon Company International

Cringe: Something thats embarrassing or not cool.

OG: Someone who’s been involved in the hobby for a long time. Generally well known by rest of the members.

POGO: Pokemon Go. Popular mobile app

PP FF: Paypal Friend and Family. Normally asked by a seller to try and avoid Paypal fees. Buyers paying this method dont have as much buyer protection if the deal goes poorly

PP GS: Paypal Goods and services. Have buyers protection

BP: Buyers premium. Some auction houses require the buyer of the item to pay an extra percentage as a fee. IE. If you’re bidding $100 for a card…Fanatics Collects has a 20% BP making your 100 bid really $120.

Junk Slab: A graded card that is worth less than the grading fee. Generally is a card that is not collectible or wanted by the majority inside a hobby.

PWE: Plain White Envelope described how someone is going to ship something.

Heavy bags: Someone who is heavily invested in a particular product or investment
