Keep us updated on what happens!
Yeah I’ll keep you all updated! Last I heard they tried to reclaim the package and the recipient said it was “Exactly what he ordered”, soooo not looking good in terms of getting my cards back.
You can do a mail fraud report on that person… if you have his address…i would go them in person to discuss the matter.
Can’t the police get involved. I mean if the guy is refusing to give back the package after the company tried to reclaim it? I feel like this guy isn’t going to return your cards otherwise. If anything maybe call the non emergency number to see what they say your options can be. Otherwise this totally sucks. I hope it gets resolved.
USPS? Good luck. You’re going to need it.
I just don’t see how a postman can make that mistake accidentally.
I agree the police seems like a solid option. This whole situation is fishy af the postman either has mental problems or did this on purpose as the two addresses aren’t even close to similar. How you can make a mistake like this when it’s literally your job you do every day I have no idea. I would simply show them your receipts from the grading costs and give them all the information you have so far and see if it gets you anywhere.
Holy shit what a douche. Sounds like a scam now. All the best.
Mail fraud is taken really seriously too and even if the punishment is just a fine they crack down on that hard, plus iirc it’s actually FBI jurisdiction. A knock on the door from the feds is probably a good way to get something out of this, and stop what is likely an ongoing or soon to be ongoing scam.
I dunno, sending stuff south in the past (Canada to US) the postal worker just put the max free insurance on the package and that was that. I didn’t even ask.
Seems like it varies from place to place pretty heavily.

Yeah I would personally just go pay them a visit and ask for my package back… Perhaps offer some kind of reward. I know contacting the authorities for mail fraud is possibly the best way, but it might already be too late then. As far as we know the cards might have already been sold or will be soon enough.
Or you can go ganster and beat the crap out of them until they crack and give card or say where it is. This is likely not legal but it happens still.
If I visited their house it wouldn’t be to offer a reward…
Damn dude so sorry to hear about this. Truly a shitty situation. Hopefully things work out for you. Just based on the response you got from those thieves though I would say hit them with everything you got (including calling the police) and don’t let up till you get everything back. As everyone has already stated this is a very serious crime. Goodluck
I actually live like 20 mins away from San Juan…
Yeah gonna contact the police! Probably too late to get my cards back though Hopefully I’ll hear back from USPS tomorrow, and I’m a few thousand miles away, but maybe USPS will send their most goon-esque employees to rough the dude up a bit! And Swolepoke you’re 20 minutes away from San Juan Capistrano? If ya get my cards back you can keep the minty fresh Japanese Kyogre Gold Star!

Show that crook, those 2 massive guns of yours @swolepoke and you will be rewarded!
Looks like I’ll get the insurance money, but the cards couldn’t be reclaimed The address they were delivered to is ___________, if anyone else can manage to get a phone number for that residence? My plan would be to call him and threaten a legal shitstorm if he doesn’t mail the cards back, and seeing as there’s digital evidence of everything I think it’d be an open and shut case and the dude would get a massive fine, anyways probably a long shot! If that doesn’t work… Idk maybe I’ll just mail boxes of poo to the house from now to the end of time.
I think that regardless of if you get your carss back or not, you should pursue this with the police. Whoever did it this needs to see some sort of repercussions of their actions imo.

Definitely, at least give the local station a call and have a chat about it. If that guy got ‘exactly what he ordered’ he should be able to provide proof of payment and purchase which he won’t be able to do.
