@quuador unfortunately not. The seller had 10 Chikorita cards and I picked up their last 4 - all of the 4 I received were 1st edition. I guess they had 1 or more unlimited versions without realising there was any difference.

Ah, thatās unfortunate to hear. Always annoying when they have multiple copies available with unlimited edition as stock image, because you already know beforehand most of them arenāt going to be unlimited. 
Still thanks for sharing the picture, though. Considering itās a photo and not just a stock image like E1 unlimited cards usually have, itās a nice confirmation the three Japanese L1 non-holo gen 2 starter PokĆ©mon are at least available as unlimited edition.

The fact thereās exactly 1 of each we know of, Iām thinking maybe this wasnāt part of a product. Maybe a part of some pitch meeting at Pokemon headquarters to show the new layout of the upcoming set

Celebi definitely exists! I have about 50% of L3 completed in unlimited! And also I didnāt see but we do know Rage of the Broken Sky XY9 had a unlimited print right? Picked this guy up recently
Yeah, I actually just won a lot of 400 L1-4 cards on buyee, and I see some unlimited cards, though unfortunately all 4 Celebi cards included have the 1st Ed spot covered. Are you going after reverses too for your L sets?
