1996 carddass red vs green vending question

i know this has probably been asked here before, and sorry i could not find an answer using search.

Could anyone tell me the difference between the red and green variations with the 1996 part 1 carddass set?

basically i just want to know if green or red is more rare or with the non prisms it really did not matter. thanks

The only difference is one is green and the other is red. Their purpose was to show the difference between the green/red versions of the games so some do have different pokedex info based on the game. Like ekans not available in green, or sandshrew not available in red, etc.

The cards came out with speculation about the video game. In reality the game ended up being Red and Blue. Some of the green and red cards say they are traded (“exchanged”) from the other color.

It will say “exchanged from ____” if one was missing. There is a red and green CARD version of each vendor. Just to clarify if OP gets confused.

In Japan the first two games released were actually Red and Green.
