I tried the other day and went through only to get an email immediately saying it was an invalid purchase

Weird. That’s what happened to me last time @eeveeteam posted the Mother’s Day one. It was flagged or something and didn’t go through. Then “supply” for the discount ran out when I tried again.

Was able to get this one though.

Worked for me. Thank you!

eeveeteam reminded me to try to snag one with my second Ebay account, and it still seems to be active (i.e. the promotion hasn’t run out), but I couldn’t get it working a second time—gift card order was declined with different cards. Don’t know why. wisewailmer seemed to have the same problem.

I tried with two different credit cards. Pending charges were put on both CCs which ofc will be refunded. Not sure what the deal is on their end. I was going to buy a nice card with a sweet $20 off but I guess not now haha

Is this US only or can I redeem it in the UK somehow?

@cryingatnight Yeah, had that exact same issue. And I think I had that issue with the last promotion I missed too. The credit card companies also texted me about potential fraud purchases regarding the pending charge  Might try again tomorrow.

@PokeDave The original purchasing account has to be linked to a US address (not sure if you’d be able to just change your address and purchase on Ebay US to bypass this), and you’d have to buy items on Ebay US.

Thanks, if I have to buy from the US probably not worth it for me.

You have to use a different credit card if trying to get a 2nd $200 gift card on a 2nd account.
1st account: send to yourself
2nd account: send to someone else (you)

Thanks so much Bob! This what the comrades on E4 are all about. Just saved myself $20 on the next $200 on ebay simply by paying in advance.
