I am a movie person, I am wondering what UPCCC thought were the best movies of 2014.

For me:

  1. X-Men: Days of Future Past
  2. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
  3. Fury
  4. Interstellar
  5. The Grand Budapest Hotel

Honourable Mention: Guardians of the Galaxy, Godzilla, John Wick

Lol, I love jean claude van damme, i know its so lame, but its so funny!

Really like your scarface also Gergely! As well as the 007 stuff, man, I used to work in a video store… I can’t remember all the stuff I’ve watched… there’s just too much.

For 2014, I can just think 22 jump street was okay, and guardians of the galaxy.

Theyve been airing some pretty decent anime films on Toonami lately… just saw Akira for the first time this weekend :slight_smile:

Saw dawn of the apes and interstellar amongst a few others.
Interstellar was defs my favourite.

Haha, I thought it was just that one fight scene until I clicked into it! pretty awesome mixing sf2 sfx. loved it lol

  1. Guardians of the Galaxy (Not a lot of knowledge going in, really enjoyed)
  2. The Hobbit (This one was a bit too Hollywood. I’ve seen it twice however.)
  3. Gone Girl (I know, but it had me confused the whole movie)
  4. The Amazing Spiderman 2 (character development of Jamie Foxx was really good)
  5. The Interview (moreso just the statement made by watching the movie ~ Freedom baby)

Other movies I liked were: The Equalizer, 22 Jump Street, Let’s be Cops, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Edge of Tomorrow

I didn’t care for X-men, Transformers, Hunger Games, Captain America, Divergent

Still want to see: Unbroken, Imitation Game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, American Sniper, Fury

Interstellar was phenomenal, on a completely different level than any other movie I have seen this year.
