I’m just happy that there are people with deep pockets looking for Pokemon cards to invest. I just hope we get about 2 dozen more of these folks and Pokemon prices will be to the moon and surpass (gasp) MTG…

For what it’s worth, there’s an ungraded Trophy Kangaskhan on TCG Republic for $18502.50.

@ryan23, Is that a drop ship? There is one in japan ungraded around a similar price, but its damaged.

To be honest I’m not really sure. I saw it on there while looking for stuff a few weeks back and figured it was worth mentioning haha.

tcgrepublic is like trollandtoad, but without conditions shown on listing.

The condition of cards I have recieved from tcgrepublic have been very hit and miss so if you are looking at that as an option I would try and contact the store to see if they can give some form of condition rating and photos.

Regarding the cards he is looking for, whether you take the highest public offers or private deals we don’t have access to, I believe that those cards are anyway not really accessible…

In france we also have our top 10 items that are “holy grails” but even if you have money or even more than that (Meaning multi millionaire or idk) if you suddenly rush into the market with the intend of buying everything no one is going to let the items go…

For several reasons:

Like I had to experience people not willing to sell me things because I was a stranger who got in the hobby 2 years ago… Once again different reason and one of them is the fact that Pokemon is an esoteric market, you have to know each other, being in the hobby, caring, taking care, then, only after a year maybe you’ll get some exceptional items.

Not saying that every rare item is like that (+ money obviously helps) but the one he is looking for are definitely this kind of a deal…

Strange way of selling such a card imo. Who would ever buy such a card without knowing the condition?

I honestly cannot think of a worse way to list the card. Maybe no photo could top it!
