Ouch. I feel that. I remember selling my reverse holo (and some holo) e-readers for super cheap too. But it’s not all bad because like someone said earlier, I just rolled that in to collection and got stuff I couldn’t get now.
Hahaha you love reminding me of this! Its alright though by the same account I bought a shining charizard 1st ed a week before the seller doubled the price. The universe will balance out!
Early 2018, probably one of the least hype times to sell for ex cards. It went towards my car which was great but today it could pay for half of it on its own!
I sold all my psa 9/10 gold stars and 1st edition gym holos in Janurary. Don’t even need to say the prices to know that they doubled. At least I was smart enough to sit on my crystals…
Reading about that case fresh Gym box… Guy on Instagram had a case of holon phantoms few years ago. I don’t know if he sold every box. But good lord what that would be worth today. Sorry Ryan if you’re reading this.
I sold a gold star Treecko for a $2.50 BIN when I was first starting on eBay (and I think several other GSs in different lots for around the same price). I remember thinking “Wow, that’s a cool gold star. Might be worth a little more than the black star rares”. Didn’t price check or really know how to at the time.
What really hurt is the 1st edition shadowless Venusaur I auctioned that ended at $0.54. Don’t know what went wrong with that one.
PSA pricing a $7.50 bulk pokemon special during a pandemic, with a million plus card backlog, while on reduced staffing…
Someone somewhere will ship out cards in 2020 that they won’t get back until 2022. I’m gonna submit a couple thousand cards this quarter to do my part in making that a reality.
Sorry to hear that man. But if it was the right girl she would be supportive of you. My fiance use to get mad about me buying cards but she’s much more supportive of me now. She even learned the eras and the styles of cards and Pokemon names it’s cute. I tell her she’s a first edition wife haha
