The way they released stamp promos was way more limiting than a deck that you could buy from the Pokemon Center. Even though that was the supposed print number of the stamp promos, it never really felt like there were that many, probably partially due to the way they were released. Pikachu ex is everywhere now though, there are a ridiculous number of listings for it, and the second Japanese Pokemon Center lottery hasn’t even happened yet.
I do agree the demand is obviously very high, and I think $100 is too low for how much people want this card. The supply has been very steady and it has been at $200 ish for weeks at this point. I don’t think the stamp promos are a great comparison though.
I mean that’s a fair point their release is different but both of them now have plenty of availability on the open market. There are a lot of listings for both of them. Of course more for the Yokohoma deck otherwise it would likely have an even higher price tag on it.
That is largely due to the supply on the market. Most people that have submitted the Yokohama cards haven’t gotten them back from PSA yet. I would say wait until December to see the card’s PSA 10 price.
It is normally around $160 on Mercari in Japan. This is not eBay prices. Those are slower to react than the market over there. A future telling is to look at the Japanese prices and what they are doing compared to the US prices.
To be fair, supply is “relatively drying up” compared to the initial waves/quantities. At least for the sealed decks, if no bigger supply hits the market i can see this promo going up once again on longer term.
