Hi, small rant here…
I came across a Holo French Pikachu (EX Holon Phantoms 78/110) on the French eBay about two months ago. The listing was set to domestic shipping only, but I look on eBay.de, .fr and .it quite frequently and most sellers agree to ship to The Netherlands after contacting them. This seller seemed nice and agreed to ship it to The Netherlands. So, I placed a bid, won a few days later; I paid; and it was shipped the next day with a tracking number. So far so good.
A few weeks later the card still hadn’t arrived and the tracking number hadn’t updated anything. So, I contacted the seller if he knew the whereabouts of the card. He said he would check with their posting office and asked if I could do the same (from what I could understand from the message - most likely French google-translated to English, so it was a bit hard to follow). After about 6 weeks in total I still haven’t received anything, so I contacted the seller again. No reply. About a week later again I contacted him again, this time an immediate reply without anything useful… I replied to this message and asked for a refund, because I wasn’t expecting the card to arrive anymore. Radio-silence for a week again.
And now the annoying part comes. It was now about 6-7 weeks after I paid for the card. Since the seller hadn’t responded to my last two messages, I went to PayPal to request a refund. Apparently, after 45 days you can’t ask for a refund anymore… Whoever thought that is enough time is an idiot… If you pre-order something from Japan for example it sometimes takes two weeks to release, and then another 3-4 weeks to arrive… I’ve had things I’ve ordered in the past arrive 2-3 months later due to production errors after I made a pre-order (not for TCG cards btw). 45 days is way too short. So, I couldn’t request a refund through PayPal. Also, I couldn’t ask a refund through eBay, because that’s only possible on eBay.com, not on eBay.fr/eBay.nl/etc.
So, I contacted the seller two times again, even asking for halve a refund since he has also lost the card of course and I felt like it was mainly the post office fault, but still no responses. After that I was just completely sick of it and decided to leave negative feedback on eBay. And what did I see: eBay feedback has a limit of 60 days and it’s just past that… Now the seller still has 100% positive feedback, and I have nor my card, nor my 22 euros…

Sorry about the rant, but I just wanted to blow off some steam…
