Half of these places I’ve never heard of… I don’t know if I’m missing out or if Canadians just have a different palette.
Australia has a pretty limited range of fast food outlets compared to America, and a lot of other places.
My brother went to USA a few years ago and said that American McDonalds literally tastes exactly the same to Australian McDonalds. So if you have tried 1 you have tried both.
Pizza Hut’s are few and far between in my city these days, and Dominoes is strictly reserved for ‘I am broke as fuck’.
KFC is a guilty pleasure and only something I get a few times a year.
Hungry Jacks(Burger King) is the worst in Australia.
We have a chain called Red Rooster in my state(I think there may be one or two in the rest of AUS) and they are my go too fast food. They do delicious roast chicken that doesn’t make you feel like you ate a bucket of fat and grease afterwards and their chips are top tier alongside KFC chips. Their Cheesy Nuggets are just godly as well and if I ever die from overeating I guarentee it will be from them.
There are tons of Red Rooster in Aus mate
Was founded in WA though!
My favourite fast food would definitely be a burger! Something truly American hits the spot. We should definitely hit up Varsity Burger again @milhouse @kkthxbai @salmoncannon =)
Lol varsity is a step above mcdonalds etc, but def miss you guys and Perth sometimes ^^ it was good
Okay , i will do a quick list, top is what i like most, bottom least. (i’m trying to only stick to low cost / large franchised / fast food companies.)
WESTERN FRANCHISES:
- Mcdonalds / pizzahut / domino’s (just have a soft spot for pizza)
- Subway / KFC / nando’s / guzman gomez / red rooster (decent)
- Burger king, carl’s jr, (don’t really like these)
JAPANESE FRANCHISES:
- COCO ICHIBAN! (tonkatsu curry place… so good. Glenn hates it though
- GINDACO / MOS burger /yoshinoya / matsuya / lotteria / mister donut (ok places… cheap., not my favourite)
- FRESHNESS BURGER, (FREAKING stay away from this shithole.)
I had a big explanation of why… but it was boring to read, so i am just going to add a bunch of photo’s for visual affect.
Lotteria ( mostly in japan and south korea, this is where you can get this burger:
it’s pretty bad… don’t worry…
This is freshness burger… DON"T GO THIS PLACE!!! man… it sucks… it’s not really that ‘freshness’… T.T
freshness is not even a word i don’t think,.
mos burger… not that good for me…
mcdonalds, yay
halloween specials
yes… 120 yen deep fried chocopie… this was selling so well in japan, but discontiuned now.
This is nando’s chicken:
coco curry, i love this in japan…
Gindaco squid balls… HELL YEAH!!!
okay… i think that’s enough.
oh gosh… i forgot to even mention ramen / noodle places…

TIL Red Rooster has cheesy nuggets, never seen them on the menu
@aquaz - Prepare to discover a world of pure imagination.

I love the Aussie mcnuggets… so much better than the chicken in Asia.
I have an unlimited supply of pork, beef, and chicken so we don’t eat out a lot. But when we are busy or on the road I like Arby’s or Subway.

When can I move in?
Only have fast food a couple of times a year and only eat Carls Jr/Hardees, McDonalds/BK are gross to me. I live in California and everyone raves about In N Out, but It’s the most overrated chain. Food is always cold and flavorless.
For me, I like my pizza from Dominos and burgers from Burger King.

You may have to turn in your California card now, we’re contractually obligated to love In-N-Out.
I actually don’t care for their fries, but it’s my favorite fast food burger - although there’s obviously much better out there once you leave the realm of fast food.
I took a trip to Japan last year and totally agree with @kkthxbai on both CoCo Ichiban and Freshness Burger.
I think Whataburger has the best fries.
My favorite burger is the Big Mac from McDonalds. I just love the balance of the meat, lettuce, and the special sauce it has.
I love Grandys though. Chicken Fried Steak/Chicken is always an all-time favorite for me.
This might be blasphemy in many people’s books but I’ve grown to dislike pizza. I’ll still eat it but I’d pretty much prefer anything else but this. I prefer frozen pizzas you can buy and put in the oven yourself.
I forgot one… I adore Fatburgers onion rings. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmm…l
KFC Zinger Burger… 'Nuff Said!
haha why does fast food give yall so much diarrheas?
Taco bell is not bad I guess, far better tacos than del taco, or crack in the box
Mcdonalds sometimes seems like a good idea until you’re half way through your second quarter-pounder then it’s just gut rock. Burger King exists in a far better state in my nostalgic childlike mind.
I lived in Cali for a bit and while i did partake in the obsession that is in N out, it seemed more trendy that anything else.
Similarly, lived in Texas for a bit but could not get into the "Water"burger obsession there.
It’s hard to count five guys as fast food, as they are more of a grill in my mind.
No love for sonic? Half priced cherry limeades. For comparable reasons, I can get be hind A&W. root beer floats and footlongs chilli dogs
Fl’Arbys is good sauce boss and roast beef au jus
Wendy’s nugs and frosty sauce boss
Popyes chicken combo kfc wedges and gravy 'taters
Anyone ever have Runza?

Actually, in-n-outs are huge here in Nevada too. Their French fries from fresh cut potato’s are great.
