What is your favorite beverage and why?
Some considerations:
Best coffee I’ve ever had was in Brazil, almost want to travel there again for the coffee alone lol.
99% water, but Tazo chai latte tea (decaf) on ice with a thick splash of half and half is amazing. It’s like cinnamon toast crunch cereal milk for adults
Its pretty generic, but water…
We’re all getting older, and meade, soda, tea, milk, etc is all good but it sticks, and Ive been trying to cut back on it as much as possible.
Can vouch for water, but a well-timed mango shake is great for beating the heat.
Alcohol!
Fuller’s London Pride on tap - one of my favorite things about London
Stella Artois on tap
Any particularly awesome weissbier on tap
Smirnoff Gold Cinnamon neat
Baileys cold - I could live on it
Ægir Aquavit - best as shots in between truckloads of fatty food
Halmstad red apple cider (discontinued )
In recent years I’ve become a drinks man. $15-$30 fancy drinks with lots of taste and small amounts of alcohol. Fortunately, Oslo is a fantastic place for drinks. My all time favorites are the Beta Cocktail from the world famous Himkok, the Banana Milkshake from a place called Svanen (The Swan) and the Pornstar Martini from a place called Stock.
Here’s a picture of the Beta Cocktail:
The Pacific NW has the absolute best piney, dank IPAs, but unfortunately I have to mail order my favorite daily sipper. Otherwise, just water and good coffee.
Tea!
If you grew up in a Chinese household having 3-4 cups of tea a day (even in summer) was essential.
I really enjoy lemon honey, ginger, hibiscus, jasmine and a strong black tea
More recently I’ve gotten into brewing sencha tea leaves and mixing my own matcha. Got this stuff during my many trips to Japan and it’s been wonderful.
Coconut juice directly from a young Coconut. Drank that for dinner when on holiday in Thailand basically every day since I liked the fresh and slightly sweet taste of it.
I love coffee but I’m not too fussy. I have my own Breville coffee machine which I love to use. I do like wood fired coffee if I can get it.
In terms of cold drinks, my favourite is ginger beer and in particular Bundaberg Ginger Beer. It’s non-alcoholic so anyone can enjoy it. It is an Australian icon.
Being able to go to old pubs and drink hand-pumped, cask-conditioned ales is easily the best thing about moving back to the UK.
Pina
Colada
For me it’s 99% of the time one of these three:
Some of my favorite brands + flavors of beer: Tripel Karmeliet; Texels Skuumkoppe; Duvel 666; Leffe Blond; etc.
I don’t drink coffee at all.
I only drink tea if I’m sick with a sore throat.
And I sometimes drink fruit juice, like Dubbel Drank Mango & Passion Fruit.

*Iced Coffee
*Coffee
*Lemon, Lime and Bitters
*Pineapple
*Black Tea
*I prefer a mix of Robusta and Arabica, or 100 percent Robusta over 100 percent Arabica.
*Vanilla Milkshake
*Don’t drink but on a special occasion I used to fork out for a Singapore Sling.
Warm water.
Arizona iced tea.
I used to like sour ales a lot. Now I admire light lagers and tomato goses.
-Water
-Coffee
But also ginger tea in the winter, pina colada in the summer!
Solid choice. I love a good lemon, lime and bitters with a pub lunch.
