Where do you see the market in 2050?

When you look to other collectibles to see how they have fare. You see small percentage have appreciated significantly, a larger percentage have appreciated fairly, but the biggest percentage remains flat.

It all would depend if Pokemon is still running like it is today. If by some miracle they can continue the series for another 32 years we will see some major price increases because of: 1) there’s 2 or so generations who would grow up in that time and start collecting; 2) kids from the beginning are grown up and are having children who will play pokemon - leading them back into pokemon (this is already happening).

However if they stop producing Pokemon, i believe there will be a massive spike in pruces in the following 2-3 years, a gradual increase following that for 5 years or so and then a slow decline as people leave the hobby and aren’t replaced with new people.

I believe that the game will still be popular, the TCG will probably be discontinued, atleast in the form of physical cards.
