Officially, Rayquaza. Koffing and Weezing (and gweezing) are essentially there too. Then theres about 10 or so that rank nearly as high

Haha! Hyenas are cute canines too! Also, Weepinbell has definitely seen some sh*t before.

Still don’t understand the backstory lol

Backstory of what? Your angry Togepi profile picture, you mean?

It’s apparently Togebo, a Togepi that hates to loose in the manga.

Apparently your profile picture comes from the Pokémon Advantures HeartGold & SoulSilver manga vol. 1 page 31. I’m unable to find a PDF of the manga rn, but here was a tiktok that reads a part of the manga, which popped up on Google Images, hence how I figured out the page.

I can’t have just 1 favourite as I have very fond memories of many different Pokemon. My most favourte are the sprites at the bottom of my comment, plus a couple of others:

Venusaur: since childhood this is one of, if not my most, favourite Pokemon card - 1st edition base set Venusaur. This Pokemon is responsible for much of my childhood fondness for the cards.

Red Gyarados: the excitement of finding him in Pokemon Gold version in the lake of rage! (yes I’m old). And also the first ‘shiny’ Pokemon appearance - it was awesome to see a Pokemon in a different colour.

Lugia: if you haven’t already seen it, I recommend watching “Pokemon the Movie 2000” - you will see why this became one of my favourite Pokemon in childhood! Not to mention Lugia’s design and cards are fantastic.

Ninetales: this was my very first holo Pokemon card! My dad took me to a Toys R Us in 1999 when I was 7 to buy a Brushfire Theme Deck. I kept that card with me at all times.

Charizard: for obvious reasons!

Lechonk: one of my most recent favourites - I LOVE that Pokemon used the word ‘Chonk’ to describe a chubby little pig. (Although, it could also derive from lechón - a Spanish word for piglet). He’s just hilarious.

Steelix: one of my first introductions to Gen 1 Pokemon, who didn’t previously evolve into anything, now suddenly having an evolution! Just an overall cool-looking Pokemon, and I remember seeing a commercial on TV for Neo Genesis when it was first released, and the Steelix holo card was featured in the ad, along with Skarmory.

Gholdengo: again another recent favourite after I pulled Gholdengo Ex 220/187 from a Terestal Festival booster box a couple of weeks ago. I enjoy his ‘money surfing’ theme and how well it plays into the current climate of stonks and money-grubbing in the TCG.
