Whats the difference between S Chinese, T Chinese and Thai Cards

I’m trying to collect every Cubone & Marowak card in every language and I’ve just started so I’m still on the “making a checklist” stage of the collection and ive beed struggling finding all the cards in every language but what ive struggled with the most is simplified chinese, traditional chinese, and taiwanese i found a list of simplified chinese cards but im not sure if its all of them and i cant fin a list for traditional or taiwanese at all so my main questions are

  1. whats the difference between the three languages
  2. where can i find lists for each language
  3. and if anyone has any tips at all regarding the cubone/marowak collection please let me know

krystal kollectz has a pretty good comprehensive list of t chinese and s chinese sets
they are easy to find tbh but its more important to find a mm in china, hong kong, or singapore that could help with locating what you want

Hello Esterloys! I have a friend who collects Cubone in every language and I’ve passed your post onto them  Just a heads up Traditional Chinese is “taiwanese” as you called it, theres only 2! Simplified Chinese (SC), and Traditional Chinese (TC). Realised they meant Thai!

  1. The easy way to tell the difference between SC or TC cards is the grammar on the card. SC will have full stops at the bottom of the line of text, and TC will have it in the middle of the line of text. Otherwise once you learn the names of Cubone/Marowak in SC/TC, you can spot the different characters! Im not sure what exact translations they use for either sorry! As for Thai, the language visually looks extreamly different
  2. For SC I use a combination of the following: 52poke, Bulbapedias list of cards in different languages, Pokemon’s China website, among other things. Otherwise to see a list of the cards, China keeps the lists on apps like WeChat, you need a Chinese phone number to make an account iirc. Someone may be able to help you by screen recording the list? TC I use 52poke, Bulbapedias list of cards in different languages, card search/card search, products/products, news/news, TC Merch Bulbapedia. For Thai I use 52poke, Bulbapedias list of cards in different languages, card search, news, products. Browsing market places like Shopee can help too!
  3. I’ll shoot you a dm! :>

Omg I just realised you meant Thai LMAO please disregard that Im sleep deprived and thought you meant the language of Taiwan hahaha mb

Tha language of Thailand is just called Thai

For Cubone, the current total is 360 cards across all languages. TC (Traditional Chinese) and SC (Simplified Chinese) have different sets and the total number of cards are also different. Thai is closer to TC for sets. TC has 13, SC has 15, and Thai has 11 cards.

Only 3 countries use Traditional Chinese cards(Taiwan,Hong Kong,Macao).Others use Simplified Chinese.Thailand use Thai cards.

Simplified and Traditional Chinese are difficult for foreigners to recognize,They are very similar, words look very complicated was(TC),
