what Venusaur, Ivysaur & Bulbasaur cards are there?

Hello all,

I’m a big fan of Venusaur and i’m trying to collect all variants of this card. Just as for the rest of the family. But i’ve got a problem… When I looked into the cards that were availible I saw a lot of different variations (stamped/language and more). I was wondering if someone has a spreadsheet of some sorts where most (if not all) different cards of Venu, Ivy and bulba are in. Tjat would make it a lot easier for me.

Or maybe a site where there cards are on?

I think Bulbapedia might help you  Reverse holos aren’t listed there but most of the other English & Japanese variants are.

Bulbasaur: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbasaur_(TCG)

Ivysaur: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ivysaur_(TCG)

Venusaur: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Venusaur_(TCG)

If you are interested to have the cards in other languages than English and Japanese too, you probably need help from someone who has experience of collecting in all languages

This is all out there. Been working on it for a few days now.
I’m not a Venusaur fan, but Bulbasaur #1!

I might have some Rev Holo’s wrong, but can be fixed easily.

Spreadsheet auto counts and calculates percentage aswell =)

@genosha Thank you so much for this!

@bigvenusaur, do you plan on collecting every single variant? So including 1st/unl. editions, special stamps, every language, reverse holos, etc.? I do the same with my collections, but most people prefer to collect just English and/or Japanese cards, or one of each artwork + an additional for holos.

As @xzini said, Bulbapedia is a great place to start to create your checklist. If you do plan on collecting truly every variant I could help you with some languages and variants when they are in the same set as Pikachu and/or Seviper.

Welcome fellow Dutchman, enjoy your stay, and good luck with your collection goals.

Quuador

Good luck on your quest! Especially with the Snap Bulbasaur

In that case, here is a fairly complete list.

I no doubt made some typos, forgot some, or added some incorrect ones. But this should overall give you a list of cards to find.

I based this on the Bulbapedia pages linked by @xzini , as well as additional info for each of these cards on Bulbapedia. As for the languages, I used my personal Pikachu/Seviper collections for those I knew. As for the EX codes, I can refer to this Excel list that was put together by @tonysandlin .

Oh yeah. I already found out finding the Snap Bulbasaur and the double length-text error are the harder to find ones.

@quuador wow! thanks for all those language variants as well! gotta put this all in a excel file now!

you guys helped me a lot with this!

I read somewhere about a 1st edition base “Grey stamp” ,is this the same as the 1st edition thin stamp?

Yeah. It’s the same stamp, just lighter in colour.

The double length error is only on shadowless and 1st edition. It’s not a random production error.

No, they are two different variants.

  • Grey stamp is where the 1st edition symbol is faded, and thus grey instead of black.
  • Thick stamp is what almost all 1st edition stamps are like.
  • And thin stamp is where the width of the 1 is thinner.

Thick and thin 1st editions are about 50-50 for holos I think, or at least both pretty easy to find. For non-holos, I’ve never seen the thin stamp on Bulbasaur or Ivysaur yet. Nor on Pikachu, which I am after. The only non-holos thin stamps I’ve seen are 4 Wartortles, 2 Charmanders, a Rattata and a Squirtle.

Here is a picture of @scratchdesk 's Raichus, which has the grey, thick and thin stamps in one picture:

@quuador Thanks! didn’t know there were 3 1st edition variants, gonna include it in the excel sheet.

@cullers Thank you for clarifying that its only in 1st edition and shadowless!

working on the sheet now, Its gonna be a long night…

Excellent work quuador.
Just a couple things.
Actually there’s way fewer 1st base thick stamp holos than thin.
The grey stamps aren’t ‘faded’. They were originally produced in that shade…low ink.

as for the grey variant, is there a thick and thin or just one style…?

I asked the same thing! xD

www.elitefourum.com/t/grey-stamps/15630/1

There’s thick and thin grey stamps. They aren’t affected by the ink levels.

Thanks for the correction. In what degree is the thin to thick ratio? 75-25% or 90-10%?

And I know grey stamps happened during the printing process. Faded might not have been the correct term for explaining the difference.
