I’m a big fan of Venusaur and i’m trying to collect all variants of this card. Just as for the rest of the family. But i’ve got a problem… When I looked into the cards that were availible I saw a lot of different variations (stamped/language and more). I was wondering if someone has a spreadsheet of some sorts where most (if not all) different cards of Venu, Ivy and bulba are in. Tjat would make it a lot easier for me.
If you are interested to have the cards in other languages than English and Japanese too, you probably need help from someone who has experience of collecting in all languages
@bigvenusaur, do you plan on collecting every single variant? So including 1st/unl. editions, special stamps, every language, reverse holos, etc.? I do the same with my collections, but most people prefer to collect just English and/or Japanese cards, or one of each artwork + an additional for holos.
As @xzini said, Bulbapedia is a great place to start to create your checklist. If you do plan on collecting truly every variant I could help you with some languages and variants when they are in the same set as Pikachu and/or Seviper.
Welcome fellow Dutchman, enjoy your stay, and good luck with your collection goals.
@quuador Yes, i plan on collecting everything (addiction here i come LOL) so every different stamp, 1st ed, language & rev holo’s
Besides japanese/english I have some Dutch, Russian, Italian, Korean and Spanish cards. but I know I don’t even have 5% of the cards that are out there.
I no doubt made some typos, forgot some, or added some incorrect ones. But this should overall give you a list of cards to find.
I based this on the Bulbapedia pages linked by @xzini , as well as additional info for each of these cards on Bulbapedia. As for the languages, I used my personal Pikachu/Seviper collections for those I knew. As for the EX codes, I can refer to this Excel list that was put together by @tonysandlin .
Base / Base 2 / Legendary Collection / Expedition Base / EX FireRed & LeafGreen / EX Crystal Guardians (2x) / Secret Wonders / Supreme Victors / Dark Explorers / Gym Challenge / POP2. (Only difference is that Ivysaur has no codes in the EX sets - only commons do.)
English: Southern Islands 5/18; Best of Games nr. 6; Best of Games nr. 6 WINNER stamped; Best of Games nr. 6 (Jumbo) WINNER stamped
Japanese: Southern Islands; 004/PCG-P; 010/T
Venusaur:
Same as Bulbasaur:
Base / Base 2 / Legendary Collection / EX FireRed & LeafGreen / EX Crystal Guardians / Secret Wonders / Supreme Victors / Dark Explorers / Gym Challenge. (Only difference is that Venusaur has no codes in the EX sets.)
Some additional releases:
English (and perhaps some other languages): non-holo Secret Wonders variant in the Lavaflow Theme Deck; non-holo Supreme Victors variant in the Ignition Theme Deck; holo Dark Explorers variant in multiple XY blisters;
Expedition Base Set:
English / German / French / Italian: 30/165 holo; 30/165 reverse holo; 68/165 reverse holo; 68/165 non-holo; 67/165 reverse holo; 67/165 non-holo
Grey stamp is where the 1st edition symbol is faded, and thus grey instead of black.
Thick stamp is what almost all 1st edition stamps are like.
And thin stamp is where the width of the 1 is thinner.
Thick and thin 1st editions are about 50-50 for holos I think, or at least both pretty easy to find. For non-holos, I’ve never seen the thin stamp on Bulbasaur or Ivysaur yet. Nor on Pikachu, which I am after. The only non-holos thin stamps I’ve seen are 4 Wartortles, 2 Charmanders, a Rattata and a Squirtle.
Here is a picture of @scratchdesk 's Raichus, which has the grey, thick and thin stamps in one picture:
Excellent work quuador.
Just a couple things.
Actually there’s way fewer 1st base thick stamp holos than thin.
The grey stamps aren’t ‘faded’. They were originally produced in that shade…low ink.
