What stops smart people to abuse the Ebay "cancel Article" Method?

Hi E4,

today i had an Seller who didint found the card and had to cancel the Ebay Article.
I wrote an unfriendly Message ( shame on me) but understood that Dude had only unorganised, probably to many Cards

Thought after that:
What stops unhonest, shady people to abuse this method?

For Example selling 300 Bulk cards( Good Sellerfeedback) and when a highend card didint look very well it gets canceld 12 hours before ending. Paying a low fee.
Possible Events: Another rare card that randomly occured in the same Time( unlucky Timing) low Viewer count etc. Very low price even for 12 Hours till end.
Thoughts? i see it too harsh/easy? Theory vs practise?

without the unorganised seller i would never asked me this XD

Welcome to eBay.

I’m not sure what you’re asking. Are you talking about a seller ending a listing? Or when a seller cancels a sale?

Ending a listing with bids is what iam curious about, the first sentence.
Your not the first one that gets confused by my English, sry

I’ve done in a few times when the listing has an error. eBay doesn’t let you edit the title or description even after one bid. Of course someone cancelling because bids are too low is different. But unlike non paying buyers, eBay charges a final value fee when you end early.
