This is something that has been talked about a lot over the years, but I’m curious how opinions may have evolved. Now that it seems there is so much nostalgia and love for Gen 5 lately they surely must have escaped the accusations of being lazy and ugly right?
Personally my least favorite Pokemon is Barbanacle
I just can’t stand looking at it. It’s not that it doesn’t look like a Pokemon or anything like that, it just makes me uncomfortable
There are so many. Well, at least 50. Full on affronts to humanity, lower than the lowliest Digimon. I just imagine a Kanto dex with nothing but this, Pokemon wouldn’t have lasted a week.
I don’t outright hate many Pokémon, but Intelleon and Quaquaval are mortal sins inflicted upon our world.
But humanoid starters are easy targets, so my non-generic answers are Jynx and Bruxish. I also have zero love for Nacli, despite liking Garganacl.
The most forgettable of all time has to be Elgyem and Beeheeyem. Everytime I scroll through the Nat Dex, I always go “huh. right. they exist.”
A lazy ass arrogant beer belly lizard. I hate Charizard. He was the favorite of most kids in primary school. I was already a contrarian back then. Blastoise is the best.

Jynx, Enamorous, Mr. Mime, Cubchoo, Bruxish, Snom…..
and for some reason, not the pokemon’s fault but Gumshoos and Crabrawler cause they look like they want to buy a country.

Its funny, I actually like barbaracle, I used him my competitive team to make a sniper always crit machine with him and with shell smash he would then go on to sweep. Not viable at all, but fun. I think his design is good, just not traditionally cool or cute or pretty. I don’t blame anyone, most people hate barbaracle. IRL barnacles are actual pests and IRL I hate them and all barnacle like creatures like those worms that burrow into pier pylons and destroy them. A serious serious issue for where I’m from.
