Ex: Rayquaza GS
DP/P: Charizard secret rare (Stormfront)
HGSS: Shiny Rayquaza (Call of Legends)
BW: Shiny Charizard
XY: Silver Dialga EX

SWSh: Moonbreon
My personal “best” of each era:

For Neo, often a toss-up between Lugia or shining gyarados
And have rainbow rare cards really fallen that far out of favour? The rainbow charizard GX from burning shadows did have its time in the sun
