Hello!
I have several collections ongoing, with various amount of dedication.

My most important one is my Yveltal collection. Why Yveltal? Well…

  • it’s one of my favorite pokémon :heart_eyes:
  • it’s a legendary, meaning there’s gonna be cool cards such as holo, ultra, with some regularity
  • it’s not a fan favorite, meaning the cards are not that expensive most of the time
  • it’s a 6th gen pokémon, meaning there’s a reasonable amount of different cards out there

My other collections are:

  • Japanese sealed booster packs
  • Pokédex with all my favorite artwork of each pokémon
  • Illustrator Yuka Morii, because I love clay- N artworks and cameo, because he’s so cool

I might have made an Yveltal list for you in the past? Could have another Yveltal collector on reddit, though.

Some good news however: this thread I created as overview of all languages sets are released in is mostly up-to-date, and I see the unlimited edition Japanese Red Flash nor Cruel Traitor most likely weren’t printed (not 100% sure, but I’m 99.5% sure they weren’t), so it seems your Japanese portion of your collection is already complete. :blush: EDIT: Apparently I was mistaken, and the Cruel Traitor set does exist in unlimited edition after all. Still not sure about the Red Flash set.

As for some cards that have an Yveltal cameo (although you might have already been aware of them):

Thank you for the info about the Japanese sets. I think I’ve found an Yveltal Break unlimited (so Cruel Traitor), I’ll see if it’s legit when it arrives.

I collect the Gardevoir with the cameo too, but I decided against buying the Victory ring because it’s a huge price for a card that’s a bit dull in my opinion.

I FINALLY got my hands on an unlimited edition! Those are very elusive, I even thought they did not exist for a long time. I feel all giddy lol

Wonderful collection! I’d never seen the Yveltal BREAK before- that’s such a cool artwork and really suits the Pokémon. Congrats on getting the unlimited edition too!

@citriina, thanks a lot! Even though the artwork is made by 5ban Graphics (the illustrator I like the less), I think they did a good job with all their Yveltal (some other Pokémon definitively look like some sort of balloon). I know people usually dislike BREAK cards, but I like them, and I think the gold color suits Yveltal rather well.

And an unexpected update! 3 Korean Yveltal (I’m still missing a lot of Korean cards, sadly) and 1 Japanese. I think it’s always a delight to receive a card made by one’s favorite illustrators, and for me TOKIYA and kawayoo are definitely in the top 5.
The Japanese one is another unlimited edition, this time from XY8. So glad to have that one, I sure thought it would be the hardest to find but I found it on YJ rather easily. Seems like the real tough one will be Yveltal 033 from XY11. I already found the Gardevoir 059 (featuring an Yveltal) from XY11, but as a secret I was sure it would be the easiest to find. I’m so eager to get it, maybe next week!

Just received these 5 Yveltal from Thailand. It was an adventure to find them, but they’re finally all there!

1st is the non-holo version of the Yveltal from the Japanese set “Dark Order”. It has a holo version that I had already acquired.

2nd is the non-holo version of Yveltal GX. In Thailand it was released in a “random deck”, meaning the deck can be composed of several half decks, chosen randomly. This was the hardest card to find, and the person who was helping me in Thailand opened a fair share of these decks before we found one in the wild.

3rd and 4th are the Yveltal from the 25th anniversary. There’s one holo and the other is a reverse holo, featuring a rather unique holo pattern (unique to the Asian releases).

5th is from another deck (first released in the Gengar VMAX Japanese deck). It is sadly non-holo, but the illustration is done by kawayoo, one of my favorite!

Awesome collection, i always have to respect collectors who go for all languages! Yveltal is in my top 5 of pokemon from later gens so it’s super cool to see such a unique collection and dedicated collector. Once considered to make a side collection for it but the price of cards that stood out the most for me made me abandon the thought, which means i’m glad i can live through the thought in this thread!
