5 years on ebay and i’ve left one negative feedback, the seller had 5500 feedback 100% positive as well! with the way they treated me i was very surprised
I’ve left multiple negatives but none for pokemon stuff that I recall. Mostly when I ordered bulk items for a charity event. Paying extra for quick shipping, US seller, and the exact number I need. Shorted items, they use regular shipping, and it came from China. I’ve never left such an aggressive negative. Then they asked if I would change it and offered me a partial refund. Nope.
Left one or two over the year for pokemon stuff. One they flat out lied they ran out of stock and then listed it again 1 month later, and the other was a scammer. oh well.
I’m having another bad week with eBay purchases. Just sent a $40 dollar card back for a refund this afternoon because it was dented, and now I get another problem with my Mythical Celebi promo / pin order. One would think that it’d be common sense to at least place the card in a toploader if you are going to be sending it with a metal pin. But nope, this guy just places the card in a regular sleeve, and puts it into a piece of looseleaf with the pin before putting it into another plain white envelope. Didn’t even use a bubble mailer… and of course, this is the result:
As lenient as I am, this is the kind of thing that just shows complete disregard for your customer and what you’re doing. Leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth having to deal with nonsense like this from sellers who supposedly have 100% feedback; makes the whole system seem pretty meaningless and broken.
I have had just as many issues like this with sellers that have 100% positive feedback, as I have had with newer sellers. It amazes me how they even make it that far without getting tons of negs for not using toploaders/sleeves lol.
Every single person I have blocked is either non-paying buyers who give 0 communication, or people who attempt to scam me by saying the post didn’t arrive.
This would actually be a pretty interesting discussion, “What does someone have to do to get on your block list?”
Personally, I’m pretty tolerant of people. I’ll block you if you don’t pay and the buyers case closes. I’ll threaten to block you if you start annoying me, I’ve never actually blocked anyone I’ve threatened as they’ve all stopped.
The one thing I do block people for is if they cancel a bid and don’t put in another within an hour. I can’t stand when people do this on my account. It makes it look like I’m trying to find the top bid to shill which is the main reason I block those people, but it’s also extremely annoying. The people who do this are clearly uninterested in actually winning the auction and just want to know what people are willing to bid. How impatient do you have to be to not be able to wait for the auction to end that you have to do this practice?
The worst one I had who did that put in 50 bids all at $1 higher then the last till he found one that made him the winner, then immediately canceled the last one but none of the others… I had to block them and cancel all their other bids, because that don’t look good at all.
People withdrawing bids within the last day of an auction is infuriating. I remember having a great auction going, then the bid was withdrawn and it earned about half. Needless to say, this shouldn’t be an option. At least not within the last 24 hours. If you take the time to log on, find an item, type in a price, click “bid”, then click, “confirm bid”, you should be obligated to pay.
Anybody who returns anything for any reason is banned for life. Probably too picky so I don’t want them. I never return anything either (except for scam situations ofcourse or if the problem was intentionally done). To me it’s not worth the time or hassle. Just block em.
I had one seller just put a jumbo in 9x12 envelope and ship. The card looked near mint when I bought it (stop laughing), by the time I got it, it was near tough.
I got a jumbo in today that was NM on order, and came in with a HUGE crease in it like the post office had literally folded it. No protection for the card at all. Seller was willing to work with me on compensation but my god is it frustrating. Is it that hard to put some cardboard or something into the envelope?
So was mine, I was just asking about the eBay seller. Anyway, best of luck getting compensation on yours too! Such a shame people don’t think before they ship sometimes.
