[UPDATE] Moes.Cards on IG goes against his word twice, screws me over and profits off me

Update: I have acquired a different copy and Moes.cards paid me the difference (it cost more than the first copy). Overall, happy how this turned out - plus it’s even better to have a different copy completely removed from the situation. (wow this card is visually stunning and definitely worthy of the PSA 10 grade)

I thought it would take way longer to find another copy considering they don’t pop up often. The guy messed up for sure, but hopefully he really learned something over this. Congrats on an awesome card!

IMO, a rare real life Grinch story…just in time for the holidays lol. Honestly, life is about making mistakes and learning from them. It seems like Moe has learned from it. Hopefully it’s legit and not just for show due to his hand being caught in the proverbial cookie jar in a very public fashion lol. Sometimes a person needs that to happen though, to spark a change for the better.

While it’s probably true that Moes.Cards only took action based on social pressure I think it’s still admirable that he corrected the wrong. It just goes to show the importance of a community to fall back on for support. Let’s hope he learned his lesson and will stop leveraging other’s money for his own gain.

I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. I think the underlying reason for the change should not matter but the fact that the person realized that their actions do have consequences and also took accountability. We all make mistakes and specially in this space we have all seen people do similar, get angry, defensive and just go underground. This person did the opposite which is commendable. Whether or not they stay true to this lesson learnt is not in anyone’s control but themselves. It will be a true shame as a community if we don’t let the person grow from their mistakes.

I am more happier for @mrtz on how they handled the whole situation and went about it. Glad that you got the card you were looking at the end of it.

Cheers!

I always strive for professionalism and lightheartedness. At the end of the day it revolved around a hobby/passion, and we are just humans after all!

Awesome to see that it worked out, and that Moe put his money where his mouth is. As has been said previously, too often people who get caught doing stuff like this will just run away with the money, so it’s great to see a redemption arc for once.

idk if id call it that, but yea it is good to see he got the card in the end

I suppose that it remains to be seen, but he has at least done better than the average scammer who gets caught red-handed.

Hey, hey… Easy now… I may be getting old but I do recall a $200 a month reimbursement plan over a term of 10 months…?

You’re welcome :face_with_hand_over_mouth::eyes:

I almost forgot about the Mc Cheque lmao.

Hilarious.

Seems like this card is cursed, the guy who bought it from moes sold it 2 months later (shocker) and apparently was stolen during transit.
