This might be the card I had ages ago. It was graded psa 5, due to a minor crease that I could never spot. I sold it to smason, who sold it to a flipper in the UK who is banned from this site. They tried re-grading it 4-5 times and it never went above a 5 grade. I think the pop report is 7 for the PSA 5 grade, which is mostly if not entirely due to this one card being re-graded.
Oh wow. Thatâs a pretty unfortunate outcome I guess. Where would you evaluate the price of the card then? Seeing as if that is the card you owned it would be very unlikely to grade above a 5 this time also
Compared to other trophies the Unikarp is fairly common. There are multiple listing every year and often more than one up at a time. You canât really say that about any other trophy card. My opinion is that it will increase in value but it will be very gradual.
The Fan Club Karp on the other hand is in the higher spectrum of prize cards. Itâs quite rare for its distribution method.
Either way when youâre dealing with $1000+ cards you really should buy what you like. If everyone bought them just to have them they would probably lose interest and sell them off right away. This would just create a weak market. Hopefully that makes sense.
Both of these cards are really beautiful and unique so if you really like them I donât think youâll be disappointed with either one.
